Proton Falsified the Rumors about Production & Deliveries

After resuming the bookings, Al-Haj Automotive came up with a fresh episode to settle the noise regarding production and deliveries. Company has issued a public notice and falsified all the rumors translating late deliveries and production difficulties.

The notice reported that nothing is to worry about; as the plant is fully operational and customers will get Proton Saga and Proton X70 on a regular basis.

The company has enhanced the production of Proton X70 and is on track to achieve the monthly delivery target for the car from July onwards, the statement added.

It is pertinent to mention that there was news circulating on social media revealing certain production difficulties at Proton that can affect promised delivery schedule.

Proton Suspended Bookings but Resumed

When auto companies thought that everything was going to settle, the sudden economic downturn came with the new government reversing the whole scenario. Al-Haj Automotive suspended the bookings for all Proton vehicles this month. The company has resumed bookings but comes with a new decision – a new round of price hike.

Proton Saga And X70 Prices Increased

Of all the companies, proton took a step further and introduced the third season of Price Hike Series. The star of the show company has increased the prices of two locally assembled car models, Proton Saga and Proton X70. Let’s have a look.

New Prices of Proton Saga

Proton has increased the price by Rs. 230,000 across the board for all three Saga variants. Here are the new prices of the sedan.

  • The new price of Proton Saga Standard Manual variant is Rs. 2,579,000, against the old rate of Rs. 2,349,000.
  • The new price of Proton Saga Standard Automatic variant is Rs. 2,729,000, against the old rate of Rs. 2,499,000.
  • The new price of Proton Saga Ace Automatic variant is Rs. 2,849,000, against the old rate of Rs. 2,619,000.

New Prices of Proton X70

The company has hiked the price of both X70 variants by Rs. 650,000. Here are the new prices of the Proton crossover.

  • The new price of Proton X70 Premium FWD variant is Rs. 6,400,000, against the old rate of Rs. 5,750,000.
  • The new price of Proton X70 Executive AWD variant is Rs. 6,050,000, against the old rate of Rs. 5,400,000.
  • Just like the old versions, the reason behind this price hike is increasing dollar rate, freight, and shipping costs.
