Rawalpindi Traffic Plan Amid PSL X Matches
The cricket fever is rising once again as the Pakistan Super League 2025 (PSL X) heads to Rawalpindi with a packed schedule of exciting matches. The city will play host on April 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 19 and May 7, 8, 10, and 13, bringing together passionate fans, thrilling games, and unfortunately—some traffic headaches.
To ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow, local authorities have rolled out a comprehensive traffic management plan. Road closures and diversions will be in effect during team movements from the Serena Hotel to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, as well as during match hours. If you’re planning to drive around the city during these dates, it’s wise to stay updated and plan alternate routes in advance.
PSL X – Key Traffic Diversions
- Club Road:Traffic diverted to Srinagar Highway via Serena Chowk.
- Murree Road (Faizabad to Double Road):Complete closure on April 13 & May 17 during team movements (5 PM departure, 11 PM return). Extended restrictions (11 AM–11 PM) on double-header days.

Metro Bus Service Adjustments
The Metro Bus will remain operational, but three stations—Rehmanabad, Khatam-e-Nabuwat, and Faizabad—will temporarily close during match times for security reasons. Fans are advised to plan their routes accordingly.
With heavy congestion expected, opting for public transport is the best way to avoid delays. If driving is unavoidable, leave early and use alternate routes to bypass restricted zones. Real-time traffic updates from local authorities can also help adjust plans on the go.
While PSL X brings thrilling cricket action, navigating Rawalpindi’s traffic will require patience and preparation. By following official guidelines and staying flexible, fans can enjoy the matches without unnecessary stress. Let’s keep the city moving smoothly.
