Pakistani road signs are based on the British road-sign system; the only difference is that road signs in Pakistan are bilingual. Messages on Pakistani road signs are in Urdu and English. In some provinces, signs have local provincial languages on them. Pakistan follows the left-hand-drive traffic system, which means that cars overtake from the right hand. Road signs in Pakistan are not up to date in many cities across Pakistan and according to a report, the government of Lahore spent close to around 800 Million rupees on road signs.

The following are the important road signs you should know about. It is mandatory for every driver to know about these road signs. It’s compulsory to pass the road sign test before getting a driver’s license. Road Signs are categorized into; Mandatory Signs, Warning Sign and Informative Signs.
