Audi A2 EV Could Return

One of the most interesting names in the report is the Audi A2. The original A2 was a small, efficiency-focused car sold in Europe from 2000 to 2005.
This time, the A2 name is expected to return as a compact electric vehicle under Audi’s e-tron family. Motor1 reports that it may use Volkswagen Group’s MEB or MEB+ platform and could arrive in Europe later this year.

RS Models Keep Performance Alive
Audi is also preparing new performance models. The report mentions the new RS5, which is expected with a plug-in hybrid setup based around a twin-turbo 2.9-litre V6 and a 25.9 kWh battery.
The next RS6 is also expected to continue Audi’s high-performance wagon story, likely with a hybrid-assisted V8. Final production specifications and global pricing have not been fully confirmed yet.

Q7 and Q9 Target Family SUV Buyers
The bigger story for luxury SUV buyers is Audi’s SUV expansion. The current Q7 has been around for years, and a new-generation model is expected to bring a more modern design, updated technology, and a practical three-row layout.
The Audi Q9 will sit above the Q7 as the company’s flagship SUV. Audi has already shown the Q9’s interior, confirming up to seven seats, electric doors, a large panoramic sunroof with switchable transparency, and a new 4D sound system. Audi says the Q9 will make its world premiere in summer 2026.

Why It Matters
Audi’s 2026 plan shows the brand is not going fully in one direction. Instead, it is balancing compact EVs, updated electric crossovers, plug-in hybrid performance cars, and large combustion-engine SUVs.
For Pakistan, these models are not immediate local launches. Audi’s presence here remains mostly import-led and limited compared with mainstream brands. Still, the Q7 and Q9 will matter for premium SUV buyers, while the A2 EV shows where Audi’s entry-level electric strategy may be heading.
