Today we’re back with the owner’s review of Shahbaz Taseer’s Audi E Tron. In this review, the owner shares his experience of driving this electric SUV and briefs us about its specs and features. Audi launched the first generation of its luxury electric SUV, E Tron, in Pakistan in March 2020, offered in 2 variants; the 50 Quattro and the up-spec 55 Quattro. This car is a 2023 model 50 Quattro with a 71.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pumping out 309 hp and 540 nm of torque. This is configured with a dual motor setup mated with an AWD system.

Purchase Decision

Shahbaz was previously driving his dream car, the Porsche Cayenne, and he loved it. When he entered the market to buy a car, the only SUV that came close to delivering comfort similar to the Porsche was the E-tron. Additionally, the initial price that it was launched in was very attractive considering the league of cars it competed with. He then booked the vehicle and specced it out according to his liking.

Features

The Audi E Tron comes equipped with a list of luxury features, including a 12.3-inch virtual instrument cluster, a 10.3-inch infotainment system, premium leather upholstery in the interior, and dual-zone climate control, a panoramic roof, powered trunk, and a list of driver assistance features. The owner opted for additional interior features like brown upholstery, an upgraded Bang & Olufsen sound system, and a different alloy rim design.

Range

The E Tron 50 Quattro is capable of giving a range of around 300 kilometers, according to the company. However, as per the owner, its realistic range is around 220 to 230 kilometers within the city. According to the owner, range anxiety is not present in his case as his travel is not excessive, but he surely feels the drawback of being unable to take it out of the city.
This range deteriorates significantly on the highway as regenerative braking can barely be accessed. The owner also shares that it costs him only around 2500 rupees to fully charge the E Tron, which is very impressive.

Missing Features

Although equipped with many features, the owner feels that some features should have been included. These include night vision, which the owner feels would have been very practical. Secondly, heated seats are surprisingly missing, which is a low blow for a car of this caliber.

Parts and After-Sale Support

Being an EV, maintenance parts like filters and fluids are nonexistent. Only the brakes need servicing, which are readily available at the dealership. As for body parts, they are available at Audi, but the prices are exuberantly high; hence the owner has insured the car. The owner also states that the after-sale support from Audi has been very impressive and way above other German dealers in Pakistan.
