Sothassi has unveiled the Cromwell 1200 in Pakistan, placing a locally backed motorcycle brand in a segment usually occupied by imported big bikes.
The motorcycle was displayed alongside the Classic 400 and Crossfire 500. While the Classic 400 has already been launched and its bookings are open, Sothassi has not yet announced the price, booking terms, or launch timeline for the Cromwell 1200.
That uncertainty matters because the Cromwell is not a renowned premium brand. With a 1,200cc engine, it enters a liter-class category where Pakistani buyers have traditionally relied on imported motorcycles from established global brands.
Developed With Brixton Motorcycles
The Cromwell 1200 is being introduced through Sothassi’s collaboration with Austrian motorcycle brand Brixton.
Sothassi says its broader objective is to bring international motorcycle technology to Pakistan and assemble higher-capacity motorcycles locally. The company’s official website currently lists the Cromwell 1200 as “coming soon,” indicating that the model has been unveiled but is not yet commercially available.

Classic Styling With Modern Electronics
The Cromwell 1200 follows a roadster shape with a round headlamp, exposed engine, long fuel tank, twin rear shock absorbers, and twin stainless-steel exhausts.
Underneath that retro appearance, however, it carries modern safety and convenience equipment, including Bosch dual-channel ABS and switchable traction control. International versions also offer Eco and Sport riding modes, cruise control, and a circular TFT display.
A Rare Category in Pakistan
Pakistan has no meaningful locally assembled liter-class motorcycle market. Riders seeking machines above 1,000 cc generally rely on used imports or private imports.
That makes the Cromwell 1200 unusual. A locally assembled model could offer buyers a more formal route to ownership, including documented sales, warranty coverage, parts supply, and after-sales support.
Local Assembly Could Be the Real Selling Point
Sothassi plans to sell locally assembled motorcycles in Pakistan, but it has not confirmed whether the Cromwell 1200 will be introduced in CKD form or as a fully built import.
Its final price and market position will depend heavily on that decision. For now, the Cromwell 1200 remains an unveiled model with no confirmed launch date or pricing.
