It’s been three years; every year reports suggest that Pakistan Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) is all set to unveil locally assembled “Suzuki Every” and every time the news turns out to be false.
Initially, there were hopes that the company would launch the vehicle in 2022. Later, we learned that it may arrive by the end of 2023 or the first half of 2024. Again, all this was just a rumor. And this time, even as 2024 is about to conclude, sources have reported that PSMC may bring “Every” in the coming weeks.
The company is anticipated to hold an internal event this month that could see dealers and others in attendance. Whereas, the mini MPV is expected to be officially launched in the second week of October.
Suzuki Every Replacing Bolan ( The Reason)
However, it is also important to mention that Suzuki’ MPV will replace the old Bolan, reigning the segment for years. This news stemmed from a Lahore High Court order directing the Engineering Development Board (EDB), the regulatory body for the auto industry, to ensure that all car manufacturers assemble vehicles equipped with airbags.
Soon after the news emerged, PakWheels reached out to EBD, and one of the officials from the board confirmed that all local manufacturers and importers were instructed to comply with internationally recognized safety standards, known as WP-29, including the installation of airbags by the end of 2021. However, the companies were granted an 18-month extension until mid-2023. Surprisingly, even after the deadline passed, Suzuki Bolan continues to be sold without airbags.
The official from the Engineering Development Board (EDB) confirmed that airbags will become mandatory for all cars by mid-2024. This means vehicles like the Suzuki Bolan, which currently lack airbags, will be discontinued.
It’s time for Suzuki Bolan to make way for a safer model. With airbags becoming mandatory, the discontinuation of this outdated vehicle seems imminent. However, the specific model or generation of Suzuki Every that will replace it remains uncertain.

Perhaps the stupid judge sitting in Lahore high court needs to look out the window and count how many drivers and passengers actually care about wearing a seat belt.
So, unless the stupid judge does something to direct public behaviour, replacing Suzuki Bolan with even a Mercedes wouldn’t help.
