After a long wait, Suzuki unveiled its electrification plan teasing a line of EVs for 2030, and one of them is Jimny. In a recent briefing, the company revealed its plan to designate $15 billion to produce electric cars for India, Japan, Africa, and Europe.

Suzuki will launch EVs individually for each market, starting with fully-electric Jimny with four other battery-electric-vehicle (BEVs) in Europe next year.

Currently, the carmaker offers two variants of Jimny. One powered with a 660cc three-cylinder turbocharged engine carrying the capacity to produce 64 horsepower and 105 Newton meters of torque (available only in Japan). The second variant is equipped with a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder producing 101 hp and 130 Nm of torque (available around the globe).

The company didn’t provide any information narrating specs and verification, but the exterior of the vehicle flaunts modern LED graphics with an illuminated grille. And it is expected that Suzuki will carry its ladder-frame architecture with a fresh look inside the cabin and exterior as well.

It is pertinent to mention that other than the electrification plan, the company is also focused on hybrid cars and synthetic fuel-powered vehicles.

Swift now costs Rs. 41 Lacs

Well, it isn’t a surprise at this point that Suzuki Pakistan has also increased its car prices. All Suzuki car prices have been increased up to Rs. 3.5 lacs. This news was expected after Toyota, BAIC, and Honda increased their prices at the beginning of 2023.

All these new prices are inclusive of FED and Sales tax but exclusive of Advance Income Tax. These prices are effective from 25th January 2023.

Suzuki Swift GLX CVT used to cost Rs. 3,760,000. After a price hike of Rs. 355,000, it now costs Rs. 4,115,000.
