2024 Toyota Prado Petrol Vs. Prado Diesel | Detailed 1-1 Diffierences
Just now, Toyota Indus Motors released a notice about the official launch of an all-new fifth-generation 2024 Toyota Prado. Internationally, it was launched in January, and in Australia, it arrived in February. Now, on May 9th, 2024, Pakistan is going to have the official launch of the brand-new 2024 Toyota Prado.
Toyota Indus Motor’s notice says that they are bringing the Prado in two variants: 2.8 Diesel and 2.7 Petrol. The Petrol variant is the base variant in the lineup, while the Diesel variant is the top-of-the-line.
For a difference of 8.9 million PKR, you get additional add-ons in the interior, exterior, safety and, of course, in engine and performance. We’ll compare both variants in this comparison.

Our POV on the 2024 Toyota Prado
Starting with the design, this time, Toyota has made the Prado seriously rugged from the outside, and it seems like they used the design language of the FJ Cruiser. Now, it looks more like an SUV made for harsh conditions than the old Prado, which looked more like an SUV only made for luxury and executives. A boxy-shape design, matted with a matte black square style bumper and a large-jeep like wing mirrors with rectangular headlights, this design is nice to look at, specifically if you’re looking for an 4×4 with offroader stylings.
Stepping inside, you’ll not be mistaken that you’re in a Prado. The car follows old-school practicality because almost everything in the car is controlled manually with satisfied-to-click buttons, not like those toy EVs where everything is controlled with a single infotainment screen. The seats are all leather (diesel variant), and you get a huge center console and armrest with leather, so you don’t hurt your knees when offroading or on long rides.
There are some plastic finishes on the interior, like in the bottom of the dashboard and door panels, but that’s also made of very high-quality ABS plastic; it’s not cheap to feel and not scratchy, either.
We don’t need to mention its features; you can expect everything that a luxury SUV can offer, which is not surprising given its price tag of over six crores PKR.
