Proper maintenance of tires is as necessary as taking proper care of any other parts of a vehicle. But, because tires get to face the most extreme conditions and rough exposure as compare to other components of a car therefore extra care should be given to them. Following are some of the cons of over-inflation of tire:

• Blowout: Blowout is the most lethal problem associated with the over-inflated tires. Due to the excess air, it is highly possible that the tires of the car might blowout; because over-inflation leads the tire to overheat which causes blowout thus further leading to a fatal accident which may cause grave injury or even death.

• Handling and Driving Comfort: The ride will become bizarre when the tires are over-inflated; this is because you’ll feel a bump in the road. The traction of the tires will also be affected since tires will become stiffer than usual. Moreover, this will decrease and affect the handling and performance of the car to a very large extent.
• Uneven wear: The contact patch of the tires will shrink due to over-inflation. Only the center of the tires will be exposed to the roads which will accelerate the wear of the tires. This will wear the tire from the center as compared to the edges thus leading to uneven wear of tires.

• Untimely replacement of tire: Due to the aforementioned factors especially the uneven wear and tear of tires, one might need to replace the tires before recommended time to avoid any mishap. Therefore, it is highly recommended to inflate the tires properly and correctly as per recommendation given by the manufactures so that not only your money is saved but your car’s tires as well.
