Toyota Fortuner vs Toyota Prado – A Brief Comparison

Here’s a brief comparison between the New Toyota Fortuner and the New Toyota Prado. They are both mid-size SUVs. The Fortuner is based on the Toyota Hilux platform. The first Toyota Fortuner was released in 2005, while the first Toyota Parado was released in 1984. The Fortuner sits below the Prado in the SUV range of Toyota.

Exterior:

Let us begin with the exterior. Both these Vehicles are impressive in looks. There is no point in arguing which looks better, as they say, beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. The Fortuner is a bit smaller in size as compared to the Prado. The Fortuner has a length of 4705mm and a width of 1840mm while the Prado has a length of 4760mm and a width of 1885mm. Toyota Fortuner is 20mm lower than a Toyota Prado. The design of Toyota Fortuner is based on Toyota’s new design language. This new look can be seen in forthcoming models from other brands such as Lexus. The Prado on the other hand, has managed to maintain a luxury yet modern look.

Both SUVs have a great looking interior. Toyota has managed to keep the interior of the Fortuner different, even though it is based on the Hilux platform. The quality and feel of the interior depends on the variant you select. The interior of Prado looks sort of less impressive as compared to the Fortuner, although Prado’s interior is bigger and more equipped than that of the Fortuner.
