Toyota Pakistan Sales Marks a New High Last Month
The local auto industry is passing through tough times; automakers are scrambling to improve sales charts. LCs Issue has surpassed the former global chip shortages. On the other hand , Toyota Pakistan’s last month sales narrate a different story.
Where there is a low clearance of imported parts in the face of non-issuance of LCs, sources have revealed that Toyota Pakistan has managed to produce good numbers of cars and flaunting sales as well.

Here are the last month’s sales figures for the local car giant.
- Toyota Pakistan sold 1306 units of Yaris last month, compared to 647 units in July. Means, car sales observe a mass jump of 102%.
- Following the trend, Toyota Corolla sales went uphill from 1087 units in July to 1595 units in August. Record a slight increase of 47%.
- Toyota Fortuner sales witnessed a slight down from 347 units in July to 339 units last month. Meaning, a month-on month decline of 2%.
- Unlike the Fortuner, Toyota Hilux sales exhibited something different, observing a jump of 116%. Meaning, sold 636 units in August against 294 units in July.
The company sold a total of 3876 units last month compared to 2375 units in July – an increase of 63% last month.
Auto Sales May Drop In Coming Months
The incumbent rulers beget a series of gaffes and blunders, which in turn is appreciating inflation in the country. Furthermore, import barriers have urged car makers to announce production cuts and delivery delays.
Blaming the new policy instituted by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Toyota and Suzuki issued notifications of production halts many times in September. All these hurdles may cause auto sales to observe a new down in the near months.
