Double-Taxation Effect: Because the Prado already attracts very high base customs duties, applying a 40% tax to that pre-inflated number results in an astronomical absolute tax figure.
Used Market Rip-Effect: Even if you aren’t importing a new unit, this budget will still affect you. As the cost of fresh imports skyrockets, existing Prado inventory already parked in Pakistani showrooms or garages will see immediate, opportunistic price hikes.
