Toyota Unveils Its First-Ever Electric Sedan In China [Images]

After the car giants around the world are inclined to say goodbye to fuel-powered engines, Toyota also took its turn – unveiled its first electric sedan, bZ3, for the Chinese market.

We can also assume it is the company’s second pure electric car after the bZ4X SUV,  company stopped its production in the face of persisting mechanical issues.

Reports have revealed that the car is produced with the collaboration of Chinese automakers like BYD and FAW Group. And; it is pertinent to mention that the car will only be allowed to be sold in the Chinese market – carries the capacity to compete with Tesla model 3.

Features & Specifications

First, talking about its dimensions, Toyota bZ3 is 4725mm wide, 1835mm wide, and 1475mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2880mm.

Concerning its Style and designing, the front facia of the car matches its predecessor bZ4X having angular headlights with DRL extending across its width. At the same time, the side profile carries sharp character lines, large multi-spoke alloy rims, and a bulging c-pillar. Coupled with taillights running across its width, the rear profile exhibits a different design.

Coming to the power, the base model will be equipped with an electric motor producing 183 hp whilst the upper model will be powered by 244 hp. However, the top speed in both variants will be 160km/h.

Price and Bookings 

The price of Toyota’s new electric sedan bZ3 is yet to be revealed. As per reports, the car will fall among the affordable electric vehicles in the Chinese market.

Reports have further informed that the vehicle is expected to be available for sale after its debut at Guangzhou Auto Show in November 2022.
