Price Jump – United 100cc Bike Now Costs Over Rs. 1 Lac 😵

After Atlas Honda yesterday, United Auto Industries has increased the United bike prices up to Rs. 11,000. In a notification, the company said that production cost has increased due to the recently imposed General Sales Tax (GST) and increased raw material rates. It has become hard for the company to maintain the current prices; hence, it is increasing the prices of all of its bikes immediately.

Although the company has shared the reasons for increasing the rates, the question could be asked about the bikes already at the dealerships or being produced. Why is the company imposing the GST on these bikes? They must’ve been made at the old rate of raw material. This has become a trend in the local market, especially by the bike companies, to increase the prices repeatedly despite claiming complete localization. It seems that they are just trying to earn as much as possible from the consumers despite producing the bikes at old rates.

Yesterday, Atlas Honda hiked the prices up, taking the rate of Honda CG 125 over Rs. 200,000. And it is almost certain that Suzuki and Yamaha will follow very soon.
