Atlas Honda voted as favorite local bike brand in Pakistan

PakWheels Automobile Industry Survey Report 2018 has found that Atlas Honda is the most favorite local bike brand in Pakistan. It is followed by Yamaha and Suzuki.

Atlas Honda has dominated sales for yet another year. It has a growing popularity in the country. However, Yamaha and Suzuki are also emerging as top favorites by making Pakistan’s two-wheeler automotive market more competitive. People now have more choices and we hope to see more bike brands starting local production here.

Honda has stood first in the bike category by securing a top position in multiple factors, including value for money, favorite brand, and quality. Honda is followed by Yamaha in terms of being the favorite brand and giving value for money. Suzuki has come second as far as quality standards are concerned.

It has been found that Honda dominates Pakistan’s bike market with a whopping 56% market share when compared to all other local and imported two-wheelers. Yamaha, Suzuki and Road Prince have only managed to attain 7%, 6%, and 3% market shares, respectively.

Honda CD-70 and CG-125 have a market dominance of 31%, according to the survey.

The PakWheels survey results showed that when buying a bike, people prioritize performance the most. People also consider fuel efficiency and safety features when purchasing new motorcycles.

In March 2019 PAMA report, we had seen that the sales of motorbikes witnessed a 6% decrease in the first nine months of current Fiscal Year. Honda bike sales decreased to 823,918 units from 838,395 units in 9MFY19 as compared to the same period during the previous fiscal. There was a 5% decline in sales of Atlas Honda motorcycles in March 2019 as compared to February 2019 and 17% decline with respect to March 2018.

The sales of Yamaha and Suzuki improved to 18,193 and 17,873 units during the last nine months from 15,083 and 15,971 units in 9MFY18, respectively.

    Selling decades old scrap with price hikes by giving the lame excuse that parts are imported when these 3rd class parts are the legacy of our own low quality production, these people keep buying the same shit they purchased 10, 20, 30 years ago with more money..
