LHC orders not to sell petrol to bikers who don’t wear a helmet

On Thursday 27 December 2018, Lahore High Court ordered the petrol pumps not to sell petrol to bikers who don’t wear a helmet.

According to the details, the honourable directed the authorities to strictly implement the law. If any petrol pump doesn’t follow the rules set by the court then seal it without any second thought, the court asserted. Moreover, LHC also directed City Traffic Officer Lahore to submit a compliance report by the next week.

Note here that similar kind of ban has also been imposed in other cities of Pakistan such as Islamabad, Karachi and Rawalpindi.

Furthermore, on Tuesday 18th December 2018, Lahore High Court (LHC) banned washing cars with hosepipes in Punjab. The court in a written order has directed to wash the vehicles with water buckets rather than using a hosepipe in an aim to conserve water in the province. The order has been issued by LHC judge Justice Shahid Karim after a petition was filed in the honourable court concerning the issue.

Additionally, the Excise Department of Punjab has also started taking strict action against illegal/fake number plate users and manufacturers.
