In a surprising turn of events, the Islamabad Traffic Police is all prepared & geared up to administrate strict actions against unregistered cars commuting towards the capital city. The ITP has launched a 15-day campaign to spread awareness among drivers to stop using unauthorized/non-pattern number plates from their vehicles.

However, after 15th April 2017, the law enforcement agency will be administrating strict actions against both, unregistered vehicles and vehicles with unauthorized/non-pattern number plates. Due to the nature of this campaign, both new and old car owners will need to know the following collection of information:
- Use ETO’ issued registration plates on your car to avoid any inconvenience.
- Acquire ‘Computerized Registration Plates’ from your respective ETO’.
- Vehicles registered before the advent of Pattern plates in Pakistan need to be fitted with the computerized registration plates, which can be acquired from ETO’.
- Any vehicle displaying a fancy number plate, including press, advocate etc will not be exempted from this crackdown.
