Changan Pakistan is keeping us on our toes with the teasers of its latest and greatest SUV, the Changan UNI-T. The company has shared multiple short clips and left Pakistanis in awe of this beautiful and tech-savvy car. This time, Master Changan Motors has posted a video on their social media channels, showcasing the self-driving skills of UNI-T SUV on the Pakistani roads.
Changan UNI-T Future Forward Forever Journey
For almost a month, Changan Pakistan was on their Future Forward Forever Journey, where Team Changan travelled across the country, putting the driving automation technology of UNI-T to the test. The mission of this journey was to find the answers to three questions:
What happens when the world’s most advanced driving automation meets the unique highways of Pakistan?
What happens when the chaos of a Pakistani street is pitted against the very best of automotive AI?
What happens when driver-state-detection meets the Pakistani driver who hasn’t had his evening chai yet?
Finally, Changan Pakistan has dropped the answers by posting a video clip where Changan UNI-T is showing off its self-driving features, such as self-parking and autonomous exit from a parking space, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, and autonomous braking. Have a look!
Launch of UNI-T SUV in Pakistan
Changan has imported a CBU unit of the UNI-T SUV. It’s the same unit that we are seeing in the video being tested on the roads of Pakistan. Other than that, there is no news about the official launch or local assembly of this car in the country. So, are we getting Changan UNI-T or not? The short answer is we don’t think so.
Changan is teasing the launch of its best player in the local market to build consumer confidence towards its brand. To be honest, we are very impressed with not just the SUV, but also Changan’s strategy of keeping the consumers glued to the brand.
We really hope and wish to see a locally assembled UNI-T in Pakistan, but the reality check is it’s not happening anytime soon.
