Uzair Bhai’s vehicle is the latest facelifted 2025 Isuzu D-Max XT 3.0L Turbo Diesel variant. The facelift brings many new features and design upgrades compared to the previous model.

Purchase and Price

• The vehicle was booked some months ago and recently delivered.

• The price bracket at purchase ranged roughly between PKR 12.7 million and 13 million (121–130 lakh).

• When asked why he chose the D-Max over competitors like the JAC or Toyota Revo, Uzair Bhai explained that the JAC felt smaller after driving the Revo, and coming back to a smaller vehicle was a downgrade.

Interior Review

Uzair Bhai highlights major interior upgrades over previous iterations:

• The digital cruise control replaces the older analogue dial style.

• The infotainment screen is significantly improved and now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

• The digital instrument cluster offers better clarity and modern aesthetics.

• The rear windows do not open, differing from the Revo, where they do.

• The rear seat is spacious and comfortable enough for long journeys.

• It features a 60:40 split folding arrangement for added flexibility in cargo space.

Performance and Off-Road Capability

• Uzair notes that the D-Max is more powerful compared to competitors.

• Despite this variant’s lack of features like a Limited Slip Differential (LSD), the vehicle’s traction and power delivery are impressive.

• Off-road testing showed good capability, though a lack of LSD was noted as a slight limitation.

• The vehicle comfortably won drag races against competitors during testing.

Registration and On-Road Cost

• The on-road registration cost came to around PKR 6 lakh, bringing the total on-road price to roughly PKR 13.1 million.

• This makes the D-Max comparatively more affordable than the Revo Rocco in the same segment.

Dealership and Service Experience

• Uzair booked the vehicle through a dealership in Gujrat, which has now also opened a service centre in Gujranwala.

• The initial dealership experience was mixed: while delivery was prompt and even early, some issues, like trunk lock malfunctions, appeared but were addressed by the service team.

• Some components, like floor mats, were older stock from previous models.

• Overall, the after-sales service network is developing but is still limited.

Exterior Overview

• The facelifted D-Max looks significantly different from previous versions, with modern styling especially noticeable in the rear.

• Side profiles remain similar to the older version, but the front and rear receive contemporary updates.

• Uzair Bhai feels the vehicle’s overall exterior is an all-new design that stands out on the road.

Missing Features

• Compared to rivals like the JAC and Revo, some features are missing:

  • No 360-degree camera system, which is becoming standard in this segment.

  • No blind spot monitoring, which enhances driving safety.

  • Parking sensors can be overly sensitive, especially in rain, causing frequent alerts.

Fuel Average

• The D-Max delivers fuel efficiency of approximately:

  • 12.2 to 12.3 km/litre on highways between Gujranwala and Lahore.

  • Around 9 to 10 km/litre in city driving conditions.

• The fuel quality requirements are basic, and the owner uses regular Euro-2 or Euro-6 diesel without any issues, such as engine knocking.

Warranty Details

• The vehicle carries a 4-year warranty, similar to Toyota’s 5-year warranty in scope.

• Uzair considers this sufficient for peace of mind.

Resale Value

• Resale is not a concern. Uzair believes that while Toyota enjoys a better resale, Isuzu vehicles remain valuable if appropriately maintained.

• He emphasises enjoying the vehicle fully before thinking about resale.
