You Can Expect These New Cars in 2023

2022 is ending, and we are entering the realm of 2023. This year gave us sedans like Honda Civic, hatchbacks like Suzuki Swift, and crossover SUVs like Changan Oshan X7, Peugeot 2008, Chery Tiggo 4 & 8, and Honda HR-V. We also got facelifts, variants, and limited editions like Hyundai Elantra GLS and Suzuki Alto VXR AGS. And 2022 also gave us the first locally assembled hybrid car, Haval H6 HEV. So, all in all, it was an exciting year for new car launches.

Now, the question is will 2023 will be able to live the hype of 2022. Hence, this article will discuss expected car launches in 2023. 

Toyota Corolla Cross

The first we are expected to get is the much-awaited Toyota Corolla Cross. Currently, Indus Motor Company (IMC) is selling the imported CBU unit of the car at a price range of Rs. 12,249,000 to Rs. 13,419,000. Earlier this year, IMC announced investing $100 million in hybrid technology in Pakistan, and Corolla Cross would be the first hybrid product by IMC, would be made in Pakistan. And it would be much cheaper than the CBU because the company has to compete with Haval H6 HEV

Toyota Corolla 12 Generation 

The second one is also by IMC, and it is Pakistan’s one of the most favorite sedan, the Toyota Corolla. Toyota Pakistan has always launched a new generation of Corolla one year after the launch of the Honda Civic, and it seems that the company is following the tradition. As per sources, we could get the 12th generation of Corolla in the last quarter of 2023, and there are very high chances that it would be hybrid. The biggest question would be the price of this car because it would play a huge role in its success in the local industry. 

Suzuki Every

This may be the most awaited car in Pakistan as the sources have hinted at the launch of the MPV, Suzuki Every, in Pakistan multiple times this year. Suzuki Pakistan displayed this car at Pakistan Auto Show 2022 in Lahore, and the officials said that the company plans to launch the locally-assembled unit. The rumours were rife when Suzuki discontinued the AC variant of the Suzuki Bolan. It is expected that Suzuki Every will be launched in the first or second quarter of the following year.

Peugeot 3008

Peugeot 2008 was one of the new launches in Pakistan this year. The consumers liked the car due to its stylish shape, modern interior, and powerful engine. And it also gained popularity for being the first European car launched in Pakistan as a locally assembled unit. There were strong rumours that Peugeot Pakistan would launch the Peugeot 3008, another crossover SUV, in 2022; however, the company had to hold its plans due to the unstable economic conditions of the country. The reports suggest that the company will kickstart the project once again to launch Peugeot 3008 once the situation is stable in Pakistan, so we may have to wait for the third or fourth quarter of 2023 to get this car.

DFSK Glory 500 & Seres 3

DFSK has already launched its crossover SUV, Glory 580 Pro, in Pakistan and has received a positive response from the consumer. Now the sources claim that the company is planning to launch DFSK Glory 500, another crossover SUV, while the second car is expected to be an electric vehicle, Seres 3. This means DFSK is entering the EV section, considered the future of cars. There is no further information about these cars’ possible launch or price, so let us all wait and watch.
