Maintaince and parts are expensive as compare to corolla or civic.
Was a luxury when came on scene in Pakistan.
Price depends on its condition as varies between 250k to 400k.

Sir Accord is very good, equipment like courtesy lights, Sunroof, all power windows & mirrors, all passenger seat belts, 4 spoke steering, full display dash with even a trunk opening indicator, hydraulic engine mounts, speed sensitive power steering, rear defogger, child locks, height adjustable seats, double beam hi low headlights, 5 speed M/T or 4 speed A/T, 12 valve aluminum head engine with torque equal to new iVTEC 1.3L Honda engine at nearly half the rev, all carpeted interior and massive road grip and quiet high speed cruising.

The JDM versions even had the digital dash, FI and ABS, Airbags.

Parts are expensive compare to Corolla but most parts are interchangeable with 89 Civic.

A good one should cost 350K and an excellent one 400K, a badly maintained car can be bought for even as low as 250K.

Look closely for engine & gearbox condition, rust in body (specially sunroof), A/C, radiator and suspensions.

good car - if you find one in good condition, parts are becoming quite rare now - even general maintenance items specially the oil filter, as the A series Iron block Hondas used a larger oil filter as compared to the smaller one used in Civic (it fits but the crank rattles dry on cold starts after that).

The engine is ROCK SOLID and will go on forever if kept up with maintenance of 3.5 litres of engine oil and long 100mm filter every 5000 kms and a valve adjustment/tuneup every year. The transmission will have been subjected to wear as the previous owner must be running gear oil in it for the past couple of decades (not impossible to find though)

The body parts are pricey but are very very solidly bolted on to the car (even the door cards are screwed on with about 6 screws instead of clipped on like newer cars)

Ive been running such a car in the family since eons - and it does not quit - kept care with good lubes/greases as recommended by the manufacturer

I bought a few parts for it that is shared by my Integra. That would be the brakepads and the oil filter.

Found them very easily, filter was for 450 which is around 100rs extra ... pads were normal price. (800-900ish)

The Integra filter is FATTER not TALLER like I mentioned - unless your integra used the oldschool B18 Engine some Accords came with. The fat filter cannot be used on the accord but the newer 1988 - beyond civic filter fits, but makes the crank rattle on cold start.

I must be mistaking that part for something else then. I do clearly remember buying two things that were for an Accord/Integra.

    My bad.

i have a desire to own this car but fuel filling costs bothers me a lot. Can anyone suggest about the practicality of being used as a daily runner?

    Default accord 89

I love this car i purchased Honda city in 2005 and kept it till 2010 but city drive is nothing as compared to accord even though accord 89 is a old model.
I am sharing the pics. This is the 4th accord that i own right now.

The average is 100 km on full 55 kg cylinder.
