    Default Accord 1996...

AoA PWs...Here is My accord (209k km driven/ Maximum Company maintained) which i purchased 6 months back from its 1st owner since its arrival in Pak (It was a staff car and was under use of one of the highest dignitaries of Pak).when i transfeered it on my name, the agent who is also known to me told me that from 1994 to 1996 only 6 accords have been registered from islamabad.....however a num of accord were reg from isb after 2000 which were actioned, sold by some embassies etc...i dont know to what extent this thing is authentic) anyhow, Its in total original condition..total original means total original...now i have retouched its Bumbers only (the pics are old when bumpers were in stock color and no cutting cream was applied on the car)....Not changed the traditional CASSETTE PLAYER even, however previous owner had attached a device whose name i dont know but it can play USB, memory card etc...now planing to change it with some DVD along with Back View Cam..Rest i will say no match of Accord...just outstanding drive..what u call driving pleasure is all there even being so old...Although i am absolutely not fan of JDM but may be this is the reason that even after 17 years, all the suspension is same which came in 1996..Shocks, springs.Shim bone, nothing changed and everything is still noiseless and very very soft... ...however pick is not that good as i m enjoying with 2001 exi.(124k Km driven/through out company maintained), Exi is a beast goes to 160km/h v v easily and i attained top speed of 190km/h (add 8 percent due to rim n tyre diff of 2 inch)..Comments, suggestions and critisizm welcome..

i dont know how much u paid for this car but i have an idea of its market value, n i can safely say that this is the best value for money sedan that u can buy in pakistan, with prices of even base model suzuki's reaching 1 million, this one is a perfect example of what to do with ur hard earned money rather then supporting the monopoly of local manufacturers...

do post more pix, specially the engine bay. n let us know how do u compare it to 7th gen civic or other hondas of today...

@ahmedbila....thanks mate...i always prefer that one must get something which really worth..buying crap cultus fr a million is unbelieveable..when i was buying this i had options of 2.0D corolla, Lancer 04, City 04 kchi reg, civic 99 VTi Oriel, but i went for this as i had owned civic 95 twice n 98 once, so i had no attraction for any civic...As far as monopoly is concern, you are 100 percent right, why to pay these monopolist for their craps??? back in 2006, i had an option of buying cultus or santro, i went for Santro, really a wonderful experiance,1n 2001 i had option of new Alto or Un reg 2001 quota daewoo, i went for Daewoo, which proved its value and sold within one day when i gave add in the newspaper, in 1996 the options were Corolla 86 and Accord 85, i went for Accord..at that time it had every option one can think of, like it was 2.0L, Twincam, 16 valve,Cruise control, digital and graphical meter, distance n milage calculator, seat height adjustment, lumbar adjustment, heater below the front seats, etc. Now i ll compare the 7th gen civic with Accord 1996, so frankly speaking civic has better acceleration, very quick and reaches 160 in very short span of tym,you dnt need to pull the car wheras, accord is a lil slugish, breaking of accord is far better,AC blower is better then civic,Suspension is way better and very soft as compare to conventional stiff suspension of 7th Gen civic..due to yoko DB tyres, accord is absolutely quite,...As a whole accord is much more comfortable then 7th gen civic.yes one imp thing that is fuel consumption, i just noted a few days back thte exact milage i am getting from exi on long route at 110-120 km/h is 10-11 km/l but when i went to islamabad from attock b back throug motorway the @ 90km/h it gave me an amazing average of 16.3 km/l...(Local 50 km and long 120km)..accord gives from attock to isb and back @90-100 km/h only 9km/l at maximum. On CNG civic with 55 cylinder gives 210 km on long and accord with 60 cylinder gave 232 km on GT Road from attock to lahore route, (all without AC, as i calculated in this winter), about acceleration. you can say tht pick of accord is a lil more then city 2005 1.3 but less then 7th gen Exi, BTW once i got out of my accord and get in to city 2005 (55k km driven) and its seats were looking just like PHATTA...lol...i ll post the pics n i delibrately not attached the engine pay pics caz it was and is dirty caz i very seldom wash the engine bay...i dont want to keep trying to start my car after engine wash at service station ...

and yes most important, Road grip and suspension...No match of accord, far far better the 7th gen...i really doest slip or drift at sharp turns or corners...a really noticable difference...Inshaallah i have decided and am praying that i may go for some CL7 or CL9 when i ll go for upgradation (obviously not now rather after 2 years or so may be).
