Default Engine Oil for Old Cars

I have 92 accord with JDM 2000 Accord Engine. Engine is in good nick thanks to Allah. I was wondering what oil is best for it. Searching thread was helpful but they were for new cars xli/gli etc. I have questions

    1. Use Mineral Oil if yes which company
    2. Use Synthetic Oil and which grade
    3. Is it better to have shorter drainage periods or longer periods with synthetic oils.......
    4. Please suggest best Oil Company.... heard shell ultra is best according to @Xulfiqar https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/oil...-2#post4227287
Personally i am biased towards Synthetic Oil. Someone said in Pakistan there is alot of dusts so its better you drain your oil frequently. Dont know how legitimate is this.

The funny bit is when you see the mechanics fighting with a hot cuore filter with all sorts of craziness, One can remove the number plate and reach in to remove the filter easily.

There is a panel behind the number plate that is sometimes not removed from the mold. You can cut it to make an access hole. The old suzuki 660 taxi also had this issue.

@Xulfiqar i am stuck with a problem that my car has fuel smell. Increases on jumps and turns. Canister had already been removed by someone could it be two way valve on gas tank? if yes where should i wire so that tank gets ventilated and petrol does not leak.

ok i will check it. Searched the internet and those who have removed canister and purge system face such problem because of vent pipe has issues. if they block tank gets either vapour lock or pressurized.

Is to hard to wire up a canister? I think following is the culprit. Ill check in the morning for more detail how following part is wired up.

Why did you need a ring job at such low mileage?

your mechanic is right in telling you to change the oil out at 1000 kms - it will remove any excess wear metals from the engine. Use a good 5w30 in it for fuel efficiency.

the fill neck is in the rear left wheel well.

Check it for corrossion. Do also tell what sort of cap are you using, This accord came with a metal cap that had the words "GAS" written on it. It has a little pressure regulator in it. It was installed on export and JDM models, the American cap was different.

Well inspected the filler neck in detail...... There was alot of dirt on it and it was hard dirt but didnot feelt rusty and all dirt was dry........ so i guess we can rule out Filler Neck to be the culprit. Next thing i think is ammmmmmm two way valve and its wiring
