    Default 92 Accord (CB7) Car Detailing

    Following is 92 Accord. No piece of car was ever painted. All dents it had were dry dented and primer was applied on inner side to prevent rust. Despite the very good care the car is 20+ years old so age is a factor.

    Questions:

    1. 3M Wrap or Complete Paint JOB (rust is there as seen in pictures)
    2. Bumpers need to be re done, I want slight changes in Bumpers, not to make them Ricer ones but decent I plan to put rear two exhausts on car. Please share suggestions with pics.On Front I think a lip would do
    3. Should i lower the ride further ?
    4. What can be done in regards to Rust Places as seen in Pictures

    A really good repaint will cost around 40k. My friend got his red margalla repainted in nippon paint, it looks lovely, but the jaali/ orange peel should be minimum, it requires care at the prep step, during spraying and then also sanding to minimize it, and a paint booth must be used, otherwise you won't get the best results

    forget about genian ness, you will love it when your car shines, and it probably will sell for more too, imo on such an old car a repaint won't affect the resale too much

    Those two places arent too good, though the work done by @star2 's painter looks good, i will see his car in person and confirm, i will also ask my friend who got his margalla repainted, that car looks very nice.

    dont cut the springs. the orginal springs are 2 stage - they have tighter and looser coils to absorb small bumps and also carry load. You need to find them, the old 86 accord also used them.

    The front struts are similar to the later accords and use very heavy duty plastic coated springs. The original equipment is SHOWA on all struts and they are really good in their job.

    For bodywork - I would suggest you find a good quality denter and see his work first. if you are worried about rusting from the back, then lookup my posts which say to use "weld primer" and also body cavity wax. You may ask how do I get it on the backside.

    Look in the wheel house cavity in the back, you will find a large rubber plug near the bottom front and 2 a bit up, The wax is sprayed with a plastic wand inserted through them (the factory also uses these same holes for spraying purpose.

    Make sure you use very good quality steel to repair the parts and coat the exposed metal with undercarriage paint, for the roof areas you will need to remove the headliner (not difficult but quite lengthy) and then paint the inside with a rust preventive paint and spray some wax too.

    @Xulfiqar MashAllah very informative reply.

    I would post picture of Rear Coils to share what do I have rite now. They are two staged i guess. Did you said Steel. i thought it was iron sheet all the way. If it was sheet then it wont rust.

    try to find them somewhere... with them, you will never enjoy the original height. By the way, it has CNG cylinder ? If it has, it is probably not going to help putting in genuine springs....

    redoing the entire front and rear suspension and linkages in this car is a bit pricey but worth it, add new struts and fresh springs and watch how smooth it rolls. For alignment get the factory specs and find someone who knows these cars. Dont use oversize rims and use good michelin tires.

    The older accord with the iron block engine was so smooth n quiet that it could do 140 km/h and you wouldnt know - on skinny tires too.
