    Default Accord 88 Engine Swap

    AOA
    Guyz i recently gave my accord for complete engine overhaul but unfortunatley the block has a crack n crank canot be replaced as the engine was built already couple of times...
    Have searched alot to get the OEM engine in shershah but clndt find it so now i have no other option than swap

    NOW THE SWAP
    Now the real thing is m planning a swap on it
    engine i m considering keeping my budget in mind is D15B Dual VTEC
    The car chasis is solid as the engine is out of the car now n evrything is clear to me....

    Things m confused with are
    1 will the swap be sucessful as this accord has its engine rite in the center of the engine bay
    2 Will the chasis be altered for mounts n is it worth it?
    3 Will wiring make an issue as the car is Carb n the engine i willl be getting will b efi with an ecu

    UR suggestions will be very helpful guyz
    Speacially
    People who have done swaps n knw where to get the rite engine in what price

    P.S: I bought this accord for getting luxury n no doubt m really happy with the drive of her its way awesom n m not going to sell it.

    from where did you get your engine mounted and which clutch master cylinder is it ,, is it its original or altered if altered which one is it . thanks..

    Buddy i got the mounting done from NOMI very very good person intterms of mounting i wld say he is too good mashallah se..

    Wherease the cylinder is from a hiace n yes its altered as OEM clutch that accord has is cable one

    the car went under a mess again ...
    The feul inlet is all rusted due to which the tank has caught rust inside ...
    I hope the mechanic buyz a new pipe instead of any jugaar as he said shayad hi mila es model ka pipe..
    Will go my self too for checking if the pipe is available...

    U guyz wont believe me that this pipe is fabricated n i must say the person has some talent in him such beautifully fabricated with not even n inch different than the Orignal One 1 cant judge wether its OEM or custome
    The person has his shop at Jamshed Road Called Khauwaja Welding Wala new Yadgar machli wala

    jubilee clips on fuel pressure line? - are you serious? - you need a clamp like this

    Accord 88 Engine Swap -1399926

    The fuel line that you show is very taught already - lengthen it about 3 more inches.


    For the filler pipe - you could have asked the fabbie to use a modern click style fill neck - this old accord had a very oldschool tighten to seal system whose caps are no longer available.

    The reason it rusts out is because you are missing the plastic shield cover that goes over these pipes in the wheel housing. Its missing in 99% of the cars in Pakistan. I had to buy one from outside Pakistan. It was a lifesaver, it also comes with a rubber seal to jam against the body so water does not get trapped in it.
