    Default Accord 88 Engine Swap

    AOA
Guyz i recently gave my accord for complete engine overhaul but unfortunatley the block has a crack n crank canot be replaced as the engine was built already couple of times...
Have searched alot to get the OEM engine in shershah but clndt find it so now i have no other option than swap

    NOW THE SWAP
Now the real thing is m planning a swap on it
engine i m considering keeping my budget in mind is D15B Dual VTEC
The car chasis is solid as the engine is out of the car now n evrything is clear to me....

    Things m confused with are
1 will the swap be sucessful as this accord has its engine rite in the center of the engine bay
2 Will the chasis be altered for mounts n is it worth it?
3 Will wiring make an issue as the car is Carb n the engine i willl be getting will b efi with an ecu

UR suggestions will be very helpful guyz
    Speacially
People who have done swaps n knw where to get the rite engine in what price

P.S: I bought this accord for getting luxury n no doubt m really happy with the drive of her its way awesom n m not going to sell it.

    coded and engine price????

mount fabrication is not simple as you think - there are a few people who do this work but they charge a lot of money. Ask for a person called "Imtiyaz" - he's originally a blacksmith and he can craft metal beautifully. Last I came to know he moved to a workshop near Johnson & Son in Korangi.

Imtiaz is not in Korangi anymore, he sits in Badar somewhere. I go to his son Nomi at Tariq road. Text me for directions if you need to consult him.

90k is way too much for a g15 imo, maximum 60k for that engine

@Drug_Mafia 125 is high. Engine D17 should cost you near 50-60 with old replacement. never done swap but i think labour should be 30-40 inclusive wiring. Best option would be if you can find someone in shersha so that if anything is required it is brought immediately. Also ask for shop owner from which you are going to buy engine. he surely would know some dudes.

One of Imtiyaz's younger sons (elder to Nomi) also does very good swaps, he has a shop in Phase 2 on Jami street. Go to master juice and drive straight towards the dead end, just before the dead end look to your right and you'll see cars parked there undergoing swaps.

There is no case of a turnkey solution swap that you want. You will have to spread it apart in separate jobs.

To do it perfectly - do the wiring outside of the car and install it last.

1 - get the engine + trans + accessories and transport them + car to the fabricator (mechanically he will make it fit)
2 - get the same guy to fabricate the exhaust pipe, gear cable linkage, etc etc. - ask him to make an O2 sensor port in the exhaust too.
3 - Tow the car home and remove the dashboard
4 - Trace the wiring and install as the pinouts require.
5 - Wire up the engine properly - behind proper fuses and utilise a proper Honda main relay too, wire up the gauges properly too.
    6 - Install dashboard.

    Drive.

Anyone can fit the engine - its easy as cheese. The real headache starts with wiring and fiddly bits.

If you can find a one window shop that can do it for you by taking in your car and handing you a perfect running car with a swapped engine + trans + wiring + A/C etc. then post it here too.

Till date I have not known even one place that does that commercially. I have done these jobs but usual customers would balk at the total bill.

Yes that's how they operate, they do not take responsibility for anything other than fitting and mounting of the motor. The best course of action has already been explained by Xulfiqar. Call me when you have time, we'll figure something out.
