    Default Accord 88 Engine Swap

    AOA
    Guyz i recently gave my accord for complete engine overhaul but unfortunatley the block has a crack n crank canot be replaced as the engine was built already couple of times...
    Have searched alot to get the OEM engine in shershah but clndt find it so now i have no other option than swap

    NOW THE SWAP
    Now the real thing is m planning a swap on it
    engine i m considering keeping my budget in mind is D15B Dual VTEC
    The car chasis is solid as the engine is out of the car now n evrything is clear to me....

    Things m confused with are
    1 will the swap be sucessful as this accord has its engine rite in the center of the engine bay
    2 Will the chasis be altered for mounts n is it worth it?
    3 Will wiring make an issue as the car is Carb n the engine i willl be getting will b efi with an ecu

    UR suggestions will be very helpful guyz
    Speacially
    People who have done swaps n knw where to get the rite engine in what price

    P.S: I bought this accord for getting luxury n no doubt m really happy with the drive of her its way awesom n m not going to sell it.

    5. Radiator New............................................... .................................................. .......4000
    6. Wiring and other installations..................................... ..............................................8000
    Total............................................. .................................................. ......................120000
    bat to phir wahe a gae. I would recommend you to use oil mounts on left timing side.

    they come in the current model civics and the previoud fd version
    there a type of engine mounts and are expensive as compared to other mounts

    hydraulic mounts, your car doesnt have any as original but if you can find one you can get the fabricator to fit it

    As everyone has told you but when it comes to price i always found them 300-500 rupees expensive than other, I could not get rid of vibration at idle in my accord so placed in a default vacuum operated oil mound and now car is a darling. Told you this because you are going to fabricate mounts try to have oil mounts where ever its possible. Ask @Xulfiqar for good places or types of oil mounts you can have. Timing side oil mount can be used 94 accord ones

    Ok buddy tomorow i will visit the fabricator n will tell him to put oil mount on the timing belt side for better drive...
    I talked to my mechanic the 1 who has provided the engine he said that oil mounts are not necessaryr the other ones he is g said they remain stiff n long lasting too oil mounts wore out quicker as compared to the other ones.....

    Yup got the complete motor its D15b Singel vtec Tarique bhai had this engine complete with gear ecu uncut wiring so bought the complete engine from him in 75k
    as have heard alot abt tarique n his swaps so i hope the engine he has provided is in good nick m not good at judging the engine condition its jst i wld say a trust on tarique bhai ...........
    Wiring , sump, lines return line, new radiator, new radiator fan, foundations, tuning, n other necesaties wld be done by tarique
    Mounting are to be done by noman .



    I saw a khyber at nomis shop today swaped with exi 96 engine i must the finishing on the mounts was awesom very very impressed by his work i cldnt judge wether its orignal or fabricated.....

    you can google the comparision. Secondly not every mound should be oil mount. If you are putting in AT engine its better to have timing and back mound oil one. Rest simple rubber mount and you will enjoy it.
    Following one is the one sitting in my car at back of engine. Car was never better than before.

    Make sure when you purchase the engine you get its correct ECU. Dont trust your mechanic on this one

    Ya he started work on that Khyber while my car was still there, used to see the progress on it almost everyday.
