    Default Accord 88 Engine Swap

    AOA
Guyz i recently gave my accord for complete engine overhaul but unfortunatley the block has a crack n crank canot be replaced as the engine was built already couple of times...
Have searched alot to get the OEM engine in shershah but clndt find it so now i have no other option than swap

    NOW THE SWAP
Now the real thing is m planning a swap on it
engine i m considering keeping my budget in mind is D15B Dual VTEC
The car chasis is solid as the engine is out of the car now n evrything is clear to me....

    Things m confused with are
1 will the swap be sucessful as this accord has its engine rite in the center of the engine bay
2 Will the chasis be altered for mounts n is it worth it?
3 Will wiring make an issue as the car is Carb n the engine i willl be getting will b efi with an ecu

UR suggestions will be very helpful guyz
    Speacially
People who have done swaps n knw where to get the rite engine in what price

P.S: I bought this accord for getting luxury n no doubt m really happy with the drive of her its way awesom n m not going to sell it.

Brother A16A and A18A are best engines for your car.

Forget D series or B series engines.

This engine would be dirt cheap as it only fits 2 cars made by Honda.

the fuel pump in this car is inside the fuel tank - why do you think you need to replace it?

btw - the correct term is "FLY" wheel not "FRY" wheel. install a New clutch and pressure plate along with new bearing.
sir plzzzzz guide me that it is necessary to deglaze the cylinders

    yep - its a unicorn.

I found 2 of them in Shershah once - the shopkeeper was literally begging me to buy them as no-one had bought them in 4 years. My aunt (paternal) had a car that had this engine as factory install - it was badged as Honda Vigor 2.0 Si.

I bought the engine for Rs 26,000/- to replace the one in her car, it had crank noise after the driver oil change was done with "ghora marka tael"

the other one had a cracked valve cover and missing dizzy and cam sensor, was a bit blackish inside so I left it there. I did buy both PH3 ECU's he had for Rs 500/piece (stock Accord B20A ECU)

sold one ECU to a guy in USA - he was a 3g fanatic.

one motor was perfect, the other was duff. Hence replacement engine was installed but only after I had done a few bits on bobs on it like timing belt, water pump, main crank seal, timing seals and sump service.

But sir if the cylinder is not deglazed then also the ring will seat themselve because of presence of light friction which will be there for sure even in deglazed cylinder. But it will take time what u think sir? Would u sir plzz explain me?
