How much is your cl9 driven ? Have you timely changed oils and serviced/changed the parts that need servicing/changing cuz thats low. We use to own a 2004 model and it gave around 8-10 in city with aggressive driving. Get it properly serviced or checked. You might wanna check your tyre pressure too.

    Salaam.

Its sparingly used, twice a week. Between 300 to 500km per month. Oil changed at approx 5000kms. It is driven with the AC on. Oil is Mobil 1 Semi synthetic and half litre Shell Red wala as it takes more than 4l and the Mobil 1 only comes in 4l packs, lol. Tyre pressure is checked fort-nightly. What parts would I need changing as it drives great? Its done 132000kms. Any reliable mechanic I could get it checked from?

Thanks in advance for your time

Since your car is driven more than 100k, have you gotten its major service done by honda waley or by your mechanic ? In this service they(by "they" i mean honda guys) check the vehicle thoroughly and then determine what parts need to be replaced(mostly oil filters, belts, spark plugs, brake pads, fuel pump and various other parts). I would suggest get it serviced(if not done before) first then check if the consumption improves and try to use hi-octane for a bit & see if you feel a difference in drive & consumption.

Thank you for your replies. I will get the fuel pump changed and see if it makes a difference as the other things have been recently changed. It used to be run on hi octance and I would get the same mileage so I felt there was no point paying for the more expensive fuel. Jazak Allah

If it was fuel pump then it would hesitate to accelerate or starting issues. I guess your car needs general service, take it to Honda Dealership

    Salaam

Thank you so much for the replies

Tyres were 17inch i used to get 6km/l. Then I reduced the size to 16inch i.e. according to what it says on the door side of the car but still same 6km/l which is very saddening. Tyres are all 30psi. Thanks for the clarification about the fuel pump - it starts and accelerates great it is a joy to ride.

I drive with a light foot and very moderate acceleration.

Any expert advise as to how I could improve the mileage would be appreciated. Thanks

Is the Check Engine Light working properly? Are you 100% sure that any electricians didn't bridge it?

Anyways, hook up an OBD2 scanner, and check whether it is going into closed loop mode after warming up, or not.

will ultrasonic injector cleaning help, as petrol quality is really bad so injectors get clogged? Experts also comment?

Mine used to give 5Kmpl. Tried every possible thing, but it never rose. Finally sold it, as it was too heavy on pocket.
