    Default Honda Accord B20A swap

    Ramazan Mubarak, people ...

    I own an 88 Accord EX with the 1600cc A16A1 SOHC carb engine with automatic transmission.

    I'm looking to swap out the engine for a JDM B20A (from the Accord, not the Prelude) which i know is a bolt-on engine to the chassis, without the need of any mods to the frame. I'm also looking for a compatible automatic gearbox to go along with this B20A engine. Of course the engine should be complete with the wiring harness, ECU, PGM-FI unit etc etc...

    Any suggestions on how i can obtain this motor in karachi?

    Thanks for any help / suggestions.

    well nothing's wrong in particular with the engine, this is a matter of 'shoq'

    and besides, who couldn't use a 100% increase in power? The A16A1 makes 88hp, and the B20A makes 160hp ... and it's a direct drop into the engine bay, i think with H22A i need some sort of chassis fabrication

    why u changing the A16A1? i also own the same car, same engine but with manual transmission. its workin excellent for me. on ac gets a bit under-powered. hey do u feel that rough PHUK PHUK PHUK noise from the exhaust exit (silencer), i mean its not smooth exhaust flow for me. is it?

    @Sadiq
    Who told you that B20 is a direct fit into your 88 Accord. Yes it would fit as a matter of size but you need to change the mounts and relocate them in most cases.

    I think before you jump into this swap I recommend a lot homework that you need to do and should do if you are serious about this.
