@ krossenz:
I would recommend NOT buying the max you can afford right off the bat. Trouble with these 20 lakh cars is that once you buy them, you can never sell them unless, of course, you incur a BIG loss. Buying a 20 lakh car in Canada is, of course, a total different story.
Since you are returning to Pakistan after 10 years, there is a strong possibility that you may not like Pakistan anymore and may want to go back to Canada. So I'd suggest that you buy something that you can sell very easily and lose the least amount of money on. May be a Toyota corolla XLi. If you decided after a year or two that Pakistan is for you and want to stay there, then you may decide to sell your Corolla at a minimum loss and buy anything you want at that time.
2 years from now, you will be able to buy used Camrys over there in this price range as well.
Another thing to keep in mind. Lahore is a very unsafe city. If you drive that expensive of a car, people may think you are very rich and may be a good candidate for being kidnapped and asked huge ransoms for. that is one of the reasons that in Pakistan some multimillionaires prefer to ride a common car even though they may be able to afford something that costs 10 times as much.
Just my 2 cents.
