Ever since my first encounter with the model trains way back in late 1960's at Karachi Fair (Numaish) i have been in love with model trains.
Knowing that this was my weakness, one day my son in law shareef called me and ask me if i would like to come with him to Train Expo,i could not refuse this opportunity to be with my second love (first being my wife....no choice....lol).
I still remember to this day that it was a Pakistan Western Railway stall at the Numaish, where they had this fantastic scaled down model of "Tezgam" engine with passenger cars behind it and it was being washed in the maintenance yard under the showers while going back and forth, i stood there for hours just see that.
They had a whole net work of tracks and person was running different trains on them simultaneously controling each by a control box.I was captivated by that and to this day it has become a goal in my life that after i retire,i will make myself a backyard train track.(InshAllah).
