    @knightwane
    If ur vehicle is covering 13-14 Kms in city then its not bad.

    you must be mistaken. Alto's CNG average and performance is good but petrol is quite bad. It gives around 8-10 km/l on petrol. Even Suzuki official dealers say that Cutlus has much better avg and alto is sold as CNG efficient vehicle. (petrol avg is v low as the car uses a very old carb based engine)

    i dont know the reason for this milage, but i do the following:
    - Replace engine oil after 5000-6000 km
    - use Caltex Havolene engine oil
    - Replace air filter after 7000 kms (clean air filter after 1500 kms)
    - tuning after a year / 25000 kms
    - replacement of plugs 20000 kms
    - clean plugs after 7000 kms
    - Previously i was usgin tyres 1-45/80-R12 now 1-65/70-R12
    - Never go to mechanic for routine checkups / maintenance. They will ruin ur car. just undertake tuning as mentioned above.

    2008 VXR with 165 tires on factory wheels. Not in the best state of tune as the engine seems to have flat spots in power delivery here and there, especially when cold.

    10 km/L on petrol in city driving with AC on all the time.
    130-140 km on 50KG CNG tank with AC on all the time. Have gotten a best of 150+ km after fresh tune up from Mandviwalla Motors.

    The car went back to running like ***** within two weeks. Took it back to a family mechanic who loosened up the valve clearances a tad to help with CNG stumbling issue.
