I think Pak Suzuki does not have a lot of engines to work with so they put the same engine in most of their cars but due to different years there might be some upgrades like Fuel Injection, ecu and things. The same engine was used in Khyber, Cultus also.

As for the question how come its in the 4x4 well does not matter what engine you place in the 4x4 it is the gearbox and transfer case that matter in 4x4 cars. their engines might be similar but gears box and addition of Tcase make it different.

this engine F10 i guess is used in Pothohar till noe, 1993-94 1.0 Margalla and Suzuki Alto. Only difference being gear box.
    No ECU or EFI

only EFI Pak suzuki has is Baleno and now Liana.

do not forget bro that is how they kept prices low for the best seller.

I do not know why but suzuki world over truly makes vehicles for the masses and with fuel consumption in mind.

In Pakistan Suzuki charging too much cost as compare to low quality products. Even Adam producing EFI in Revo, although ADAM quality is not greater then Suzuki but Suzuki must convert all the engines from Carb to EFI as they are charging high prices.

Although Cultus is considered a failure look at the following para:

"In cars with 1000cc capacity and 800cc capacity Suzuki maintained its domination. In 100cc Suzuki Cultus was the largest selling car with sales of 6,354 units while Suzuki Alto followed closely with total sales of 4,595 units during July to October 2005. Whereas, 2,012 units of Hyundai Santro were sold during the period."

If government allow import of cars without duty just for one month, no one will buy Cultus in this Pakistan. People have no choice, I seen people selling their cultus on cheep rates here in karachi, coz re-sell market of Cultus is badly damaged.

Alto has the F10A 4-cylinder carbureted engine while Potohar has the same !

But both, Alto and Potohar have different gearboxes than the original F10A Gearbox. THe F10A Gearbox was a 4-SPeed Manual but Alto has a 5 Speed box. And Potohar has a completely different gearbox coupled with 4WD !
