    Default Alto Valve

    Dear friends...
I have Suzuki Alto... I haven't faced that problem as yet but my friends and few technicians are of the view that Alto has some heating problems until and unless Radiator Valve is removed....

Can you please tell me about this problem...
Is it really necessary to remove that Radiator Valve to ensure car doesn't get heated anytime...?

    Thanks

This is a general perception among many mechanics. I have been suggested to do the same thing but i didn't and so far no heating issues what so ever. So i'll suggest u not to remove it. It is an integral part of the cooling system and it has a purpose. Removing it can only cause problems.

Do u mean Thermostat valve? If yes, then dont remove that, its the common blunder of our illetrate mechanics to get rid from this valve.

don't remove it, it will never give you benefit, as it is opened when the car get certain temperature, so why you are removing it, when it gets removed itself on certain temperature?

Removing thermostat valve is not recommended. It is only useful during extreme summers, when old small cars like Mehran and FX start over heating due to aged radiators plus other factors. Kindly note that the thermostat valve should ONLY be removed as a last resort i.e. When you have tried out everything that could have prevented over-heating of an Engine during summers.

The Valve should be properly greased and placed in a safe place. It should be immediately re-fitted into the car just before winter starts. Before that, you can check whether its functioning or not by putting it in heated water.
