    Exclamation Alto struck on speedbreaker

    AOA,
I have a Alto 2009 model works fine everything is ok.. today I some how struck on a small speed breaker at almost 60 to 70 kmph car did had a little jump I dont know if it touched from bottom or not as it was in speed and when it jumped up there was a lot of noise so could not get any noise of touching down well I stooped in a side checked it there was nothing BROKEN and then drove it back to my place almost 25 KM no diff sound , no problem in driving at all .. my question is how can I check? do I really need to go to mechanic etc ? I have drove a bit in slow speed as well as fast around 90.. no problems no noises ... and no engine oil leaking till now .. what do you suggest ? can this small car bear this kind of jump or damage? should I get my suspension changed or repaired is there anyway I can check it quickly?
    thanks for help in advance
    thanks and regards,
    NJ

    Thanks a million brother.
but the question I was asking is that are these cars like Alto, Cults etc made to bear such stress? I mean should I be worried about suspension or something giving up soon on after this kind of "jump" or "stress" ?

Yes U should worry - go change all the suspension and tyres. Don't drive it next time else U will hit another speed breaker and then again U will need to change all the suspension.

Please use common sense - no need to worry.

Lets figure out what all can be effected if the car gets a nasty hit from underneath:-

Chasis -- highly unlikely, the first indicator will be mis-alignment
Gear box and oil sump -- oil spill or leakage are thhe indicators
Exhaust sys -- engine sound changes
    Speed-o-meter cable, self explainatory
Cng line -- you wouldn't be here making a thread
Shocks -- extra thumps and jumps are the indicators (driver knows the difference)
Other items of suspension -- play in steering or mis-alignment can be the indication

Make your own assessment and drive safely, cheers

Nothing to worry... Just get the alignment & probably camber adjustment done again & that's it
