    Default Suzuki Alto engine swap

    We all aware of the fact that our local Alto comes with a very pathetic engine which is not economical and not for a kei car. I need experts suggestions that is there any engine that can be swapped in Alto bolt to bolt or without the need of big alterations and the car will be used on petrol only. Please share your experience if anyone has done that before. The following engines come with Alto around the world:

    * K6A (660 cc)
    * F6A (660 cc)
    * F8D (796 cc)
    * K10B (998 cc)
    * F10D (1,061 cc) - used in Maruti Alto

    Furthermore if someone swap K6A what about its ECU and other electronic items comes with it... How can it be correctly done by our local mechanic?

    THANKS

    G13B dohc is around 60k
    G15A sohc is around 62k
    both of the above engines have equal horsepower, that is, 100 hp. try the G13B as it's smaller in size and will fit more easily.

    @poster i wont suggest u to go for g13 or g15 swap,neither any other expert would do so bcz thr wil b hell lotta power on stock chasis which will surely boost up ur ride but at the same time u'l end up in broken axles,joints,bad suspension,lack of breaking,lack of grip,lack good cornering while driving.the car will keep on swinging like toilet slipper over oil.
    ive witnessed many g15 swapped alto's beating r18s like hell but just in a strait line+swapping g15 or 13 wont fetch bettr milage for u as u r getting now.
    better o go for add ons+stock alto engine isnt thaaaaaat much sluggish if tuned well.
    hope that helps u

    Thanks Sdevil, immad100 and aliusman.
    After going through mixed comments I am thinking either to get a JDM ALTO or make some small adjustments to the stock engine like tune up and other performance add ones.
    Thanks soulsnatcher911 and ekdrifter too.

    ^^â well tuned alto cant be beaten by even moded rides in rush btw
    i'd sugest u to go for stage1 mods like downpipe,exhaust,intake,plugs,wires.
    if u dnt wnt noise go for plugs wires intake

    g13b is the best option, it weighs far less so it will affect the car's balance less than a g15

    well i know its bin to late might be you sale your car or might be you restore your car engine,but i beleve there is always some one looking for swap engines ,so its never to late to comment ,
    well if i am planing to swap i ll go for letest technology engine & if i am using as daly car on city traffic roads i ll prefer Automatic trasmission & if i am making perfomence car or 10sec car i ll use muanual transmission....
    well now come to engines i ll suggest 2 eng one is K10A its 3 cylinder eng excelent in perfomence & with lots of power for inshelly boost & long rav & secand my faveret engine is M13A its excelent engine 4 cylinder light waited altho K10a is also very light waited,but M13A is best of best ,
    these engine are best on suzuki engines then you go for more power just sellect M15A,M16A, for this chasiess all engine is alloyes & light wait, now come to swap thing..
    well as i am professional mechanic tuner & electronic ECU wiring designer i have no problem do such a swap or redesig thinks, but what i need is time & parts, so some time we have to wait to get part from out of Pakistan or out of Karachi market find it anywear in Pakistan such as big citys scrap markets,
    Anyhow i am doing this modes & Swaps with my team & we also do complet tune-up & general maintenance for EFI & Normal carbe Cars,
    So if anyone need any kind of help or a suggestion feel free to mail me.i love to help you out or my team will be always there to help you out..... thanks for reading it .......

    If you want to improve fuel economy then sell this car and buy some cultus or vitz. When we talk about engine swap, there are two options:-

    1- Bolt on Swaps
    In this kind of swap your existing engine mounts are used and no major surgery is required in engine compartment. and most likely Your existing axles will used. Is tarha ky swaps zaida tar sahee rehty hy, ECU waghira ka masla hota hy liken jab ik bar fix kerwa lain phir koi khass problem ni hoti.
    2- Non Bolt On Swap
    There will be lots of cutting and welding done in your engine bay and most likely your axles will also be replaced. I never seen people satisfied with this kind of swaps. After month or two, their car needs work and if you are not into racing never do this. Also car balance get disturb and it is very difficult to control the car over the speed of 60

    But ik cheez jo dono swaps my hoti hy wo yeh ky ap ik local assembled car ko modify ker rehy ho, local cars ki body already bohot weak hoti hy aur breaks b farigh hoty hy. When you increase engine power, you need to upgrade your breaking system and shocks as well to bear this much power. And on top of it your cal's resale will be zero if engine is swaped.
