Default replacing JDM alto 3 Fwd transmission with 5 fwd tranmssion

i have a JDM Alto 660cc with 3 Fwd gear auto transmission. I was wondering if it was possible to change it with a 5 fwd gear transmission as i have heard JDM alto auto trannys are available for less than Rs 4000. Please tell what effect would it have on the car and should i do it?

thats a long shot. I think it should be easier just to change the transmission but i am unsure whether it is a bolt on fit and its impact on car performance and reliability. Can any experts help us here?
