Default On fire - Suzuki Alto - too hot for pakistan ?

While driving towards F-10 from F-8 (margalla road) around 7:30p.m. today I saw a Alto on fire, stooped, tried putting the fire out which took some effort (disconnected the battery, some people threw water etc)..

Asked the owner how and what happened, and he said it just started, the dash caught fire, then the mats and so on. I asked if he got any electrical work done, and he said no, he hasent... it was about 4-5 years old not too old judging from the number plates..

Not sure what happened, but this is strange..

Is this a one off incident or has some one heard of this before?

here are some pics i took, the light was a bit low but they should show some of the damage..

or maybe the battery tie down was not in place and there was a leak from the battery due to this...

that happened to my FX once and the whole dash was gone...
I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it..and so restriction of free thought and free speech is the most dangerous of all subversions.

I think the absence of the fuse is the most probabl cause. the old electrition to blame..
