lets Start with what i learned and will share it with all of you and hopefully some problems i am able to solve as it has been 2 years since i drive an Alto so much things are on experience
1 Rims and Tires..
now Alto comes with General Xp 2000 with size of 145/80/12 and to be honest they offer 0 grip and ride feels stiff how ever many friends go wild and put alloys tires size 165/65/13 now Alto vxr looks Cool with these tires but there is a problem that when car is loaded with passengers it will hit the body inside the fender and side wall takes all rubbing some times causing tires to explod or deform and another issue is that steering feels hard to turn with 13 alloys best size 13 is 155/65/13 which comes in kabuli used tires so not adviseable so forget the looks just go for comfort put 165/70/12 tire and even with alloys it will create less problems and no rubbing but for light steering one should get rid of stock rims and get jdm 660 altos steelies as they never get bend and steering never goes hard.im using HANKOOK H706 and i am satisfied with comfort and grip
2 Crank Case drain nut leak
as most of the time in every 2nd alto including mine the drain nut while chaning oil gets leaked it slips and some opt for new crank case but it takes time and is costly and not as durable as oem crank case there is a simple way ask a kharadiya to make new "Churries " for one no big drain plug and also go to a cobbler aka "mochi" and ask him to make seals from lather seals should be half inch wider in diameter then the nut and plug it in and change seal in every oil change just 20rs extra and problem is solved.
3 Brake pads
MBK oem brake pads cost whopping 4500rs and some opt for 750Rs desi Asuki even i did lol but they made brake disks suffer and in the end i went for tooling the brake pads and original asuki which have some copper element in them costing 1650 for pair of front ones they sound a little begning but after use sound was gone also never spray cold water on hot disks they make breaking even worse.
4 No LOW and SLow scene on alto
As now a days even rickshaws are lowered for LOOK and Stance please guys avoid drop MAhool as we Peshawaries call it reason is that Gearbox and crank case is lower then other cars and on some bump gearbox might even crack and oil pan might get leak yes happend with a friends alto.
5 Interval maintenance
Alto has a habit when ever u guys go for an oil change get tappets tuning too on the same day and after 5 to 6k do wheel balancing too as this is what alto requires to run properly
6 improving performance
iridium plugs and 8mm wires are a must if some one has that need for speed.
7 engine oils
Avoid LM products as genuine products are not available and it will be a waste of money on alto
for engines driven less then 50k use Zic A+ 5w 20 or shell 0w 30 and more then that use 10w 40 and for older cars which give smoke use 20w 50
as for alto less viscous oils are the answer to get that lump of an engine behaving good
in general alto vxr is known for ac in its class
no matter which japanese car with many goodies alto has better cooling then them in its class
now remember take good care of A/C system of alto
never un necessary open it and when comperessor is removed always refill it with ND-8 oil and use good quality gas
if A/c grill is heating up or A/C feels heavy on car some will say engine is done some will say get a new jali but
always do full diagnostic sometimes it can be oil which costs 500rs for best quality
also if comperessor is done
with minor alteration 660cc rotary comperessors can fit f10a and will be a charam
but i seen altos with corolla xli 07 comperessors
yes someone has done it result is that cooling is even better infact its really chilling but down side is alto with ac will only do 90 to 100 kph max on highway

last few days i had cooling prob with ac now Gas is full every thing working and i am using shades now a days
i saw an experiment of painting an intercooler black vs silver and results shown that temp diff between inlet and out let was more in black intercooler like 46 degree or more and in silver it was 10 to 15
so i thougt lets paint AC grill condensor black
i did that before first ramzan and drove car and in usual manner ac never works on 2 blower speed it worked and 3 and 4 and in the car it was same as mehrans ac
but now its instanat cooling even when parked in direct sun light i never go above 2 blower setting even got cooling checked from differnt ppl who traveled with me before all say cooling is a lot better then usual
so do a bit of effort take out front bumpers of ur altos and a black spray can with a brush so u can clean condenser before the paint
