Default Alto VXR 2007: White dense smoke, engine burning oil and coolant

I have always changed Oil after every 2500-3000 kms and also check radiator water regularly. Since 3-4 days, car is heating frequently and the heat temp goes way beyond half (as my fan is direct)... And Engine oil is getting very less after a few kms (0.2-0.5 km after a fifty km drive)... Car is even drinking water after some kms of drive I have to refill a litre of water. Went to my mechanic and he suggested changing Rings and Head Gaskit as well as some other seals that i don't remember.

A total expense of around 8000-9000(including his labor of 3000). FYI, I have always used Caltex Havoline 10w-30 Oil. Could that be the culprit? What do you guys suggest? Show car to some other mechanic for problem discovery and estimation or maybe just change the gaskit only to see if its the only culprit. What options do you experts suggest?

I own a 2004 VXR a few years back, it got the same disease. Changed its gasket a few times but didnt worked. VXR has this disease by default. First go for its gasket.

Gasket changed. Along with oil rings and a few other head stuff. Radiator serviced, carburettor serviced etc. Total Labour 4000 + 2500 for head repair on lathe. Total parts including oil was around 7000. Radiator is still drinking water after every 10-20kms. Checked each and every hose and even replaced the less faulty ones. After a work of around 13,500, I am still on the same road Do you guys think this is the time to sell this car and get a new one???

Here's what you need to understand.

The car's cooling circuit should ideally seal. i.e once it is filled with water / coolant you should forget about it.

If the car is loosing water, that should point you to find out where the water is going !

    a. Like you pressurize the AC cooling circuit and then wait for 30 mins or so to check for pressure drop; same needs to be done with water system; except you need to wait more than 1 hour. If the pressure drops then there is a leak some where which you need to find.
Since you have checked the hoses, you need to pay attention to radiator find for a small leak.

    b. check if water is mixing with oil; you need to check for frothy oil, or water with traces of oil in it. In this case you need to fix the gasket and have the head refaced again.

    enjoy !

As of today, radiator again lost around a litre of water in 20 kms. Engine was not overheating as usual, but the needle was 50%-65% when i stopped the car and poured some water in it and the needle immediately moved to around 15-20% No trace of water in engine oil or engine oil in water, as verified by my mechanic. There's not a single leak in radiator, tested and verified by 3 different radiator mechanics. Could it be engine or valve seals? or faulty packings? or faulty timing/fan belt? Should i try a coolant now? What if the coolant is reducing too? Any other possibilities please??? Should i waste some rs4000 more on labour and get the gasket changed again?

Did you check the leakage in fittings of hot water circulation system of cng regulator and heater coil under the dash?if there is no leakage then get the cylinder head pressure tested for leakage.

Heater coil and under dash fittings checked. No leakage. Where to get the cylinder head pressure tested?

firstly change your radiator cap and the frame which is used to hold the cap ... it should be air tight ..

Metal frame has been checked for leakage. As the radiator is only 1 year old, radiator mechanics suggested not to change it, as there's no sign of leakage.

Yesterday night, I went from home (garden east) to airport. When coming back, just near baloch colony pull, the temp wait straight to 60% and within a minute or two, was back to 40%. I stopped the car near kfc sharah faisal, poured a litre of water that got emptied, and the temp gauge was now stable at 20-25%. Something technical is really happening. I need some experts advice here guys. Can you guys please tag some experts here, for me, please! Is it the time to sale this car?
