Exclamation Alto VXR - Runing without OIL.. Help Required

    Assalam-O-Alikum

I've a ALTO VXR Model 2001. I check it for oil every 2-3 weeks. But forget to check it since a month now. Cause i was stucked in some work and didn't had time to check but Running of the car is low cause i get pick and drop by office. I drive it only on weekdays. So 1-2 Days of running in a week.

Yesterday i went to my mechanic because one of the Foundations were making weird noises. He inspected the car and found out that Oil was leaking. And seals were broken. So he checked the oil. And there was no oil left in engine . I asked him that would it have damaged/worn my RING/Pistons.. He said only way to find out it to check if the oil Level is reducing.

Anyways my question is my CAR only ran about 20-30KM without/low on Oil. Is it dangerous only for the rings/pistons or for the whole engine itself. I feel no loss in power and Fuel consumption is normal. Though white/blue smoke is present when cold starting the car. Is there any other way to check if the Rings/Pistons are damaged? Or should i have to check oil level everyday?

One more thing.. How many times a engine can be Overhauled? Cause its already been done twice. If Ring/pistons are really worn/damaged. Should i go for a overhaul again or swap the engine?

    Regards
    Faheem

Just drive it for about 500 km then check check the leakage first as it can reduce the level as well

Proper way to check for worn piston rings is to do a compression test.
But the question is, will it do a burnout?

That's exactly what i did. Though i'm scared as S#%T. Cause overhauling engine is very painful job for me. Because of my hectic schedule.

running the engine with no oil and you are worrying about the piston n rings???

the big end, mains and cam bearings along with the lobes would wipe themselves out with no oil well before the pistons got damaged.

If the mechanic just checked the dipstick and it was at lower mark and said there is no oil then he is wrong.

the level from L to F in your engine dipstick is 1 liter of oil only - not completely emtpy
