1 5w 20 engine oil would make pressure and there was no where to escape so it blown tappet cover packing 3 times and engine oil shoots up to carb car won't start on cng and it gives smoke like engine is on its last legs more than a 2 stroke rickshaw
2 i used ZiC, Shell and total SGO all oils just go black even last time i changed oil in april shell 10w 40 was in my car and it was black in just 500kms like seriously

LM 10w 40 won't make pressure oil pump remains in good nick no matter how u push the car

    Salam,

So i was provided with two keys when i bought the car, one is the ganji key and the other one with this black housing.

The housing holding/carrying strip is breaking down.

Where can i get the original housing made for the key? Can suzuki motors isb help me in this? Do they still do keys of alto?

Im having a little doubts, is this the original housing of the original key for alto???? Cuz usually original housinn don't break down like this

This is how the original primary key looks like, with a identifying code on the metal.

Very nice and informative thread for me as I am going to buy my First car.

Actually, I am confused between New Suzuki Mehran 2015 and Alto VXR 2011 with 30k mileage. This will be my first ride so not much experienced in this domain. Can anyone please guide which would be the better choice between Suzuki Mehran and Alto in terms of Resale value and Maintenance Cost etc.

    @Automotorsport_Lover @hashsohail Please suggest.

    Regards

    Babar

I was confused in the same manner as you are, i went to buy brand new Suzuki Mehran VXR by thinking Maintenance and running cost is almost close to 0.

but the second i opened the door of the mehran at the showroom i had tears in my eyes that i should not be throwing away 7 lakh rupees to this piece off utter junk.

Mehran suspension is hard, spine crushing seats (atleast for me), AC is close to a puppy sitting inside the vents blowing air at you lol and make is so cheap that it makes one of the most macho men cry.

so in the same price tag i started to locate a clean very less driven alto which is far superior in quality and comfort compared to mehran, AC is superior too.

I live in islamabad and i can't bear the summers in a mehran because it has AC close to NO.

so alhamdulillah i bought this above mentioned alto. Maintenance cost of alto is exactly the same as i went for oil change.

oil filter costed 150 rupees and air filter costed 200 rupees.
and 3 litre of mobil oil cost 1500 rupees.

its just that mehran does around 15 Km/l and my alto does around 12-14 Km/l inside islamabad which is fine for me as it compensates with added comfort, better ride and not spine wrecking seats.

Chassis & suspension + Overall interior cabin wise alto is way better than mehran. Mehran's doors are soo thin, it has a simple old school cardboard style door trim, dash board is straight phata, no plastic trim around the base of gear stick and things like that... It is ******** that our auto manufacturers consider these small features as premium. Lol...

But one thing that makes new mehran worth considering is EFI engine, warranty, newness etc.

I'd recommend you go for mehran, put 155 sized tires and some decent 5 spokes rims. And better enjoy a new ride. Frankly roughly around 30,000 kms mark our Pakistani cars start to kharak baj... they start rattling, dont think that 30,000 is low mileage, you wont be getting anything as a new car feel.

My suggestion, buy a new mehran... adjust it as per ur requirements, keep it healthy with quality lubes, change lubes on or before time. Keep her carefully and most likely you will enjoy more than carby alto with 30ks mileage.
