Default Suzuki Alto VXR 2007 - Engine Heated (Needle raised totop gauge mark)

    hi all.
Eid Mubarak. I was traveling on motorway, my veh was on CNG. (had turned AC off so that engine shouldnt heat up). However, i was in my thoughts that i started listening to some whistling sound. i kept on ignoring it for i dont know how long. when all of a sudden heat-guage caught my sight. the needle was trying to move past the maximum mark. i stopped car only to find out that even my coolant in the radiator was boiling. i shifted to patrol and completed my journey in stops. It was getting heated on patrol too but not to the full gauge.

that was plot. here is the question. What are the consequences of that much heat (when the gauge shows full reading. Secondly, What is the first thing i should be doing or getting checked by my mechanic? Has my Engine done forever or is there any chance?

    Thank for patient.

Which radiator cap is installed in your car 0.9 or 1.1 bar cap.. If it's 0.9 then replace that with 1.1 bar cap.

    Get the compression test done.

Look for headgasket if its saved then its good otherwise you have to change that and at that time also check the cylinder head surface for any other problem's.

Usually there are very less people/mechanics who know about the compression test. A compression test will tell you almost complete history of engine.
Its difficult to find a workshop in Pakistan which carries this facility its purely your luck if you are able to find one....! (Usually a specialised mechanic would do this job)

I don't think so that it would be difficult to find this facility in ISB.

I think, engines gone. Max coolant temp and still driving. Time to replace engine (90% chances). If your car's overheating then turn on Heater and stop to let it cool of already heated.
