xainmax you mentioned there were dents on the body. So, there is a high probability that those dents might have been caused intentionally by a malintentioned visitor from the Suzuki or Cuore or anyother competing dealerships. All you need is a heavy metal object like a wrench or screwdriver and press it against the car body or lean against it. Who knows. No factory lets a car leave with dents, specially the ones they are putting on a showroom floor.
This car looks better than a mehran and cuore. The dents are most likely the result of a jealousy and hostility from a competing interests.

Everyone knows, Mehran's body is very thin, you can easily press it with just hands.

Chinese cars can't compete with jap cars. Revo is third class chinese car just assembeled in Pal. It has no chance even price is not that attractive.

Alikhan and toofast are both indians with inferiority complexes pretending to be pakistani just so they can put down Revo. Ignore them both. Revo is a Pakistani designed car, there is no evidence that suggests otherwise. Unless you count a pair of headlights.

Okay...i'm comparing the 800cc with mehran, 1000 with alto.

    Price:
Revo is by far cheaper, nearly 100,000. You can even buy a CNG fitted Revo for less than a standard Mehran or Alto.

Plus although its a privately owned car, I heard that banks are going to help revo by giving soft finance deals to help people buy Revos.

If you want to compare prices yourself, look here:
    https://www.pakwheels.com/pricelist.asp

    Design:

Now this is purely subjective and depends on your own taste. I personally think they are all okay, with the expection of Mehran. I'd probably rate Alto above Revo, but not by much.

    Power:

    Revo 800cc: 35kw
    Mehran: 29.4kw
    Revo 1000cc: 56kw
    Alto: 55kw

Revo has more power than both suzukis, especially more than the Mehran. This isn't a suprise, because everyone knows suzuki under power their cars.

We don't know the weights of cars so we can do a power/weight comparison, but all cars are roughly similar in size, and its not like suzuki engineers use lightweight aluminium/titanium material. Revo probably will win on that count as well.

    Country:

People have said Japan makes better engines than China, thats definitely true comparing Toyota or honda with china, but not Suzuki. They are the worst Japanese car manufacturers in terms of quality, and the suzukis they sell in Pakistan are notoriously appauling. If you buy Revo, well its quality can't be assured, but at least it can't be as bad as the build quality of the mehran, which just fall apart. I once sat on the bonnet of a mehran, and it left a dent! What a joke.

So if you were chosing between Revo and Mehran, I'd say get Revo. If you wanted an Alto, then think of the 1000cc as a cheaper version of the Alto.

Revo is overall a much better car than the Mehran, on all counts. There's not a single advantage of the Mehran over the Revo, not a single one. Granted Alto is a different story, but it isn't as popular as the Mehran.

I'm still suprised some Pakistanis here are so fast to put down a Pakistnai car, the people behind it are Pakistanis like you and me who are fed up with Suzukis domination of Pakistan's industry and are giving us the chance to replace it with a Pakistani version. Suzuki have ripped of Pakistani consumers and its about time someones come along to get rid of them.

    Mr. Toofast,

No, I am not sales man for any car company. I live in US. Here I have a much broader understanding of World Automotive industry. Living in Suburbs of Detroit Metro (Home to GM, Ford, and DCX) for more than a decades qualifies me to give my opinion. I have also worked for Ford as marketing analyst.

I am glad to see a Pakistani Company finally manufacturing a product, that is not so heavily dependant on Japan or Korea's throw away technology, which they have conveniently dumped in third world countries. I have no doubt in Japan's technical superiority over even American Auto industry. But you have to compare apples with apples. Mehran does not qualify as a Japanese car. It has more than 70% Local components. Only engine is imported, as far as general public is told. That too, is being discontinued shortly as I read in some Pakistani New Paper, and Pakistan Suzuki is considering importing Suzuki engines from INDIA.

Anyway, All I have is best wishes for Adam Motors and finally there is a company that is taking a big risk, to make something to make Pakistani nation proud. Yet here, you have people that are trying their level best to criticize and put down this Pakistani Company.

Had this been in India, you will see, all Indians supporting their counrty and showering their Country's Auto Industry with all praises. But, unfortanely we dont have that much love for our own country as Indians have for India.

I think most people here do not know that Ambassador uses Isuzu engines. They use a peugout diesel engines for their version of Margalla. Indians bring these cars to their country, keep what they like and modify it to their needs. If we have to start with a Revo...then Revo it is. If its poorly built, too weak, too small...too ugly..whatever...we should appreciate the effort. Guys...we are looking to buying TATA engines.

    Anyone notice these articles?

The Indian automotive sector is looking at big opportunities in Pakistan should the direct shipment linkages between the two nations be established

well it's not possible to compare the two cars actually. as they are different in pricing terms & etc, so no point.

I'll prefer giving Revo a chance if you have some extra bucks! but it's a little amount of risk that one might be willing to take.

I don't think they are Indians. I think Pakistan is one unfortunate country, where there's no dearth of unpatriotic people, who unduly criticize anything Pakistani, just to give a false sense of superiority.
In reality such people suffer from inferiority complex.

mps you have a point saying there are risks involved in buying one especially due to uncertainty of spares and reasale value (both are well estabslished for other cars in competition). BUT we must stop saying Pakistan does not do this and Pakistani does not do that, for every time there is an initiative, its taken aback by people like toofast remember profeccient? it was far better than KIA, I hope history doesnt repeat it self. By the way, this car will only be sucessful if WE BUY IT, it will surely improve if there is enough support from the market.... Inshallah

I think that Adam Motors should market the Revo more aggressively. So far their marketing has been very laid back and unimpressive, although the pricing is aggressive. If they position the car as an equal or better product with good after sales service vs. the mehran/alto, santro and cuore as it's rivals, and offer test drives to customers, then only can they make an impact. Otherwise they will just fade away with the onslaught of new models being imported everyday. HOWEVER, please note that cars being imported (such as Lancer, Cherry etc) do not yet offer any after sales service or spare parts, leaving buyers stranded once the cars start needing repairs. So buy imported models carefully.

Well the only thing adam motors must focus at this stage is the easily availability of the spare parts all over the country. Some one has just said here that Suzuki is the worst japanese manufacturer. I agree, this is true...but look how they made this bad machine successfull in pakistan??...simply by spreading over its spare parts all over the country. Even the local companies somewhere in Gojaranwala (punjab) are allowed to make rings, piston and the stuff the country pakistan is not yet able to make. As an answer to the need of the time due to the increasing prices of petrol, every one in Pakistan started buying small cars and offcourse, suzuki has been only the horse in this race for the last two decades and why not, if the car has good fuel consumption, if the spare parts are so easily available even at a "paan cigerrete" shop, then who bothers to show a national spirit and buy a pákistani car powered by a chinese engine.??? Only when the car will prove itself to be better than Suzuki, coure, chevi and in the availablilty of the spare parts.

Yes, Adam motors should launch a very very strong marketing system all over the country and they should start doing it by modifying their website made by a school going child on the front page.
