2 EPs and other goodies made it stable
yesterday a mehran on ring road tried to race me u know those KEWL euro 2 boyez who think that Alto is carb and euro 2 is jet any ways i tried to overtake him but he just had to race with me now there is a big 18 wheeler in middle lane and i was behind it i changed lane to right and mehran guy comes from left to right just to cut me off so he can overtake it but mehran has no stability and no EPS it just went left again and right in the ditch as manual steering lost control i did similar dodging but EPS had done its work bte speed was 70 kph when all this happend
i over took the truck and went to where i was going in a hurry
Bro drive safe, whatever goodies you have in this car this isn't meant to do all this stuff. My Civic slipped while making a hard steep turn at around 80-90 and it was not good.
Mehran is crap, I don't know why they still make it but I guess it won't stop selling here in Pakistan but the Euro 2 is fast for its kind though not as fast as an Alto.

exactly, eps doesn't mean more stability, actually less stability because the feedback feels dead and driver can push the car more than its limits. know about a lot of people who flipped after installing eps in these dinky cars. in terms of feedback and stability non assisted >hps > eps. and after market jugaaru installation is the biggest risk(although they do connect speed sensor in alto eps installation). eps was primarily designed for urban driving(fuel economy benefits compared to hps and more assist).

I agree with you over the point that the response is dead and you don't feel scared while pushing your car but EPS is better than HPS. You can flip your car just by a slight turn to your steering at highspeeds if you have HPS but the same is somewhat avoidable with an EPS.
But my point is that this or these cars are not meant to do all that stuff that we do on them (I myself used to be a stuntman lol)
pathetic road grip, ride height, no ABS and look at the width of the car, you can drive it on two wheels whenever you want.

My friend EK might not like these comments about an Alto but unfortunately all this is true, however, a hundred times better than what a Mehran or some other cars would give you. I have seen so many fatal accidents just because of the fun and thrill we get while pushing our cars to the limit when they are not meant to do this stuff. People wreck Civic's and Corolla's, infact a guy I know totaled his Merc a few weeks back. Jaan ha to jahaan ha :p
Drive safe and with low beams, don't kill the guy infront of you either

Check the owner's manual but my guess is that you should get HOBC mixture for this and 11-12 is pretty fine for this car. This is a simple VTEC engine, even the new i-VTEC would do 11-12 locally but again if you really are hypermiling then people have done 23 with their CL9's :p

Get HOBC from panj sarki, F6 Caltex or F7 Shell. Try it and share results, hopefully you would get 13-14 with it but if you don't, then don't be sad as your engine won't knock and would be smooth meaning longer engine life, so its a win win :p

Oh and I would say remove this blockage, get your car OBD2 scanned, it will show you if all sensors are working fine.
Does your car have a catalytic converter? I am not sure about this one.
Not sure about cat converter nd i got car scanned when bought nd it showed no errors ...nd i dont let it knock i drive with very light foot :p + our awam is not hypermilling friendly streets me fast chalatay hain nd highways pe ahista mjhe tou is qoam ki smjh nae ati :p

Hps isn't speed sensitive right? Ur bai altos cultuses have 0 brakes nd skides away with even if slightly hard braked + soft suspension on alto is better for comfort but for speedy runs its a death trap...i.e on alto i never went above 100 nd 100 too in very rare case... Running these hatch backs or family sedans is wishing for death

If you are not making the engine knock doesn't mean its running efficiently, get HOBC, engine overhauls are expensive :p

nah bhai im not like those fan boyzes when i took delivery of alto and first time drove alto man that thing sucked even my old mehran felt better those skinny tires bent rims steering so hard that it gave me a workout every time i drove it
i improved mine with most of stuff mentioned and got rid of many stock pkdm parts
my point is i tune what car i get and most of time rubbish cars had cultis for a few months and many cultus fans will like to give fatwa aginst me speaking about bow bad brakes are and hard steering
reason i kept alto till now is jdm goodies from shoba plus i like the shape
before wagon r was launched i made my mind i will get rid of this alto but when i saw it rest is history
i like to find parts for cars and alto has many versions avaulable sometimes i visit shoba for the hec of it and end up buying stuff for alto

adjusting brakes and stuff i drive it as i altered it to my liking

Guys, what do you use for car service at service stations? Oil or Diesel or anything else?

    just water
    stay away from oils deisels
they stick to rubber and eat out rubber parts
90 percent these oil sprays are culprit for bad suspension
