    Default Sluggish Alto VXR

I recently purchased a new Alto VXR. I have noticed that the performance on CNG is less than acceptible. The pickup is very slow and for some reason I can hardly get it over 80 KM per Hr. With the AC on and the family sitting in the car it sometime becomes embarrising with others tooting and asking you to go faster which, I wish I could. After hearing much good about the Shan people on the Lathrar road I decided to take the car there for a complete tune up. I was less than impressed with their service and their tune up didnt help at all. Also, I have noticed a wobble in the front tyres and low speeds. I'll be taking it in for balancing and let's see if that improves the wobble - though I suspect the cheap local typre that Pak Suzuki put on their vehicles could be the problem.

    ASnyone have any ideas???

I too was disappointed when I drove my friend's rented Alto 2006. CNG does kill a car's performance a lot. Economy is all the CNG user wants. I hope someone who owns and drives a CNG Alto on a regular basis will guide you better than me. But I guess 80kph with AC is as fast as it would ever go.

look out for a good auto technician...........i know alto is bad, but doing 60 kph is not a big deal even when ur car is on cng. the initial pick of alto is not too bad. also find a cng stations with italian compressors.

80Km/h is a very bad speed indeed.

My Cuore on CNG goes upto 120Km/h pretty easily.

But i did have a problem with my cuore's acceleration n top speed. The trouble was not with the CNG but with the car's 'TAPPETS'. TAPPETS dabe hue thay.

I don't think that would be the problem with ur Alto cause ur car is new.

Best of luck for the future.

Thanks guys for all the advice but I'm still left with a brand new car that barely outruns a bicycle! Any suggestions on a good CNG mechanic in Pindi or Islamabad?
