Always Welcome
@baltistan I'm also planning a visit to Skardu sometime in August or September this year. Could you please tell me if September is good time to visit. Also, are there any good family friendly hotels available in skardu especially Khaplu?
August is better option than September especially with family & due to moonsoon season. All standards of hotels available in both Skardu & Khaplu.
Dear pakwheelers I m one of the members of this upcoming tour . Your advice regarding to this tour will be highly appreciated.

Dont you think monsoon rains will be negative for the trip? I thought after rainy season september will be better and temp will be moderate as well. Plz give me reasons why august is better. Thanks

How will be the road condition till sward in 2nd week of October ?
Dear rainy season is a main concern from my point of view. Last year on our khunjrab pass tour we faced land slides and some of the stones hits the roof of the car luckily we survived. And now once again tour planed in rainy season
Rainy season wont effect road trrip ... trekking par issue hota hai .... in baltistan region u wont get constant heavy rains like u do in punjab etc...
I am also saying the same thing that monsoon has negative effect, thats why u have u to make ur trip in early august or late september. August priority is also due to boom in greenery, large amount of water in cools & nala's, & my favourite factor is fruits. In short mid of july to mid of august is ideal for Gilgit Baltistan ( in my opinion).
sward? can't understand sir
Key times to visit Gilgit Baltistan are:
April & May: Apricot & Cherry Blossom in bloom
June, July & August: The warmest months and best for trekking / camping October & November: Enjoy Autumn colors
Four Seasons of Gilgit Baltistan are as follows
1) Spring (March - April)
2) Summer (May - August)
3) Autumn (September - Novermber)
4) Winter (December - February)
Thanks once again @baltistan. Now I am thinking to visit Skardu in Oct instead of August.
Always welcome jenab
