What is the possible reason of jerks in Baleno during gear shift from 1st to 2nd and sometimes in 3rd as well. i have recently changed plugs, plugs wires and coils. Any suggestions?
it only happen due to Coil which are situated on tappet cover n timing adjust what the mileage of ur car have u changed the timing belt

"Jerks'' in Baleno )))))))
Yes, i recently changed Timing belt, timing barring and water body. mileage is around 140,000. Different mechanics suggested different things. Most of them thnik that is is due to Throtlle body which needs to be replaced by KABLI one. Should i go for it?
Baleno (and liana) generally have very poor pick in the second gear, especially true on CNG. So when you shift to second gear at low speeds, it will give you that feedback. When did you start observing this and have you tuned it for CNG or petrol (whichever you use) recently?
Yes, you are right. Jerks only happen if gears are shifted in low speeds. i have tried almost everything, tunning from suzuki motors, plugs change, air filter change, new coils, new coil cables etc. etc. but no result.
then the the mechanic have fixed it wrong it was also happened in my friend ride so he adjusted the timing belt again as fixing the timing belt of Baleno n margalla is not easy every road side mechanic cant do this thing it is not an easy task for every mechanic to adjust timing belt at right timing position
I dont think so. I understand and completely agree that these brands like Baleno and Liana are pain in the neck. I have serious doubts on throtlle body functioning as it does not adjust accelator automatically when comes down from 120 or 100 and car starts vibrating but after a while it adjusts the rpm automatically. This is the problem with almost every second Baleno in the market. Most mechanics diagnosed that this jerk problem that happens when you shift gear from 1st to second in low speed is because of Throtlle body. Although i got it cleaned but no result.
Are you facing this problem in both CNG/Petrol?
No. everything happens on CNG. On petrol, absolutely perfect.
i m also facing same problem with my baleno, it is really misssing or u can say jerks in 2nd gear in slow speed.. i have done coiling works three times since November and other tunnings as well, but still no postive outcome. this problem is only on CNG but its perfect on petrol. i am tired now, can anybody advise gud suggestion? thnx
Jerks in Baleno
You should not generalize
Farooq! I feel sorry for you but i am glad at the same time that there are others facing same problem. Lets find the solution. The only thing left i guess is replacement of Throtlle Body. What do you say, should we try this?
i m just going to visit a machnic who is gud for all EFI and ECM cars.. one of suzuki dealer has advised about him... lets see wat he advises, will keep you updated..
Thanks, I will keep my eyes open to your feedback. Do let me know, it might help me.
Jerks can be in any car.
but mostly i have observed that ratio of jerks in toyota is more .
Those are jhate not pathake (misfiring) thats jst coz ov the Clutch setting, which the driver needs to understand, as wen my dad drives they dunt happen, wen i do it does,
nd i have only noticed this in Baleno,
Oh i thought u've spotted "jerks" sitting in Baleno
Absolutely right! this is misfiring, not jerks. I already told that i have tried everything. I have also replaced clutch plate and pressure plate but no result.
